He did drive him to become an alcoholic and he never had the sleep walking habits either prior to meeting jaekyung. He just had a debt before but now he has health problems and Jaekyung IS responsible for the massive amount of stress he gave to Dan

It’s been a while since I’ve reread but didn’t Dan drink even before meeting Jaekyung? Dan drank himself to sleep most nights and smoked a hell of a lot of cigarettes I don’t think Dan being a alcoholic is something that was caused because of Jaekyung but because of the stress from his debt in the beginning. Although I do think the sleeping walking is partly Jaekyung’s fault because he was already stressed.
tbh its so self centered of Jaekyung to think “he destroyed Dan” when really Dan’s life overall has just treated him shitty and Jaekyung was the cherry on top as a horribly failed love. I don’t normally throw this word around but he is such a classic narcissist.
