Yeah, besides the rape everything else was a reasonable reaction from Ido's POV based on his own childhood traumas. I like that Sejin doesn't just forgive the rape because everything else wasn't too too bad. Sejin has a reasonable reaction to finding out all that and takes the time he needs to work out his emotions and find out who he is independently from Ido. Now, in this lifetime they are finally talking after that break there is hope they will be able to move past this because that one terrible thing can be forgiven and the rest can be explained. I'm so happy with how this is going.

So many BLs will romanticize rape and this is one of the few that DOESN'T do that. I think a lot of these people are just being trolls. Both Sejin and Ido know it was fucked up. that's why Sejin is having such a hard time coming to terms with it and keeps bringing up lines from the past he knows will hurt Ido. Which is totally understandable from Sejjin's side. Ido on the other hand isn't mad at those lines, he's not trying to brush over what he did. From chapter 1 he has been paying penance for that crime by trying to give so much to Sejin and in the end the plan was for him to suffer more by giving Sejin freedom from Ido forever.

The reason that didn't work is because underneath the pain of the misunderstandings in the first life and that one awful incident, there is real love between them that they both feel and don't want to turn away from. It will be hard to forgive Ido but if Sejin can then I think they will have a happy and healthy relationship together. I don't know how young some of you commenters are but it is possible to forgive something as terrible as this and move on together so long as the one who did it recognizes he was wrong and works on himself to never do it again. Which Ido has. That's called being a mature adult who doesn't see things in only Black and White.
