Oh no, the bruises, bitemarks and hickeys all over his body was all Leshak. The thing "that will leave a permanent scar" is the wound on his neck. The place where the merchant left a hickey (fuckass seriously) and Leshak got jealous and possessive, so he bit over it hard (stupid) and that's what's gonna leave the permanent scar.
Leshak is more of a fuckass in that situation not just stupid he forced him that time and even did all of that. Its kinda weird he is enraged in all of that when he did it himself no one forced him or made him do it. Doesnt matter if that merchant left a hickey. Its weird how the story is trying to show it like what he did is ok because he's just jealous.
