Idk guys I feel bad asf. I know the mc is mad but it’s really not fair bc they were in such proximity when they were younger and it’s not like Su-ah did it on purpose. Literally started hating himself bc he was an alpha bc he knew how the mc would react. They’re both suffering in the present- this sucks Su-ah was always going to be an alpha, no matter what, yeah he may have affected the mcs chances but with a childhood as affectionate and close as theirs it was bound to happen

He’s not mad because he is an omega and Su-ah turned out to be the alpha — he’s mad because the very selfish, self-centered, and deliberate actions of someone will forever dictate his life.

Su-ah kept showering the MC with his pheromones as they grew up, making him dependent on them.

Su-ah is the very reason the MC cannot control his own pheromones and, therefore, has no freedom over his body or even the freedom to walk outside alone.

Su-ah is the very reason the MC is being objectified and used right now.

I have a much more argumentative set of comments you can check out.

Wasn’t the only reason he showered him with pheromones because MC couldn’t handle the fact that he was an omega, therefore neglecting his omega needs? I interpret ML’s showering as a protection so that he didn’t have to face it head-on.
He was surprised when he smelt the alphas.. like it’s never happened before.
Plus, he HAD access to information. Everyone was supportive. He was just a brat (lowkey).
Him, in turn, being reliant on ML was an unfortunately side effect of being protected from his own secondary gender.

LMK if this makes any sense/if I’m completely wrong

The thing is, he never asked for consent. He only acted the way HE thought was good for Omega — not the best way, but the way he wanted. It was not an impartial decision. Alpha chose to stay in Omega’s life, but he did so at Omega’s expense.

It’s the fact that he never tried to look beyond what he wanted — which was to remain relevant in Omega’s life.

He deprived the MC of the most important thing in life: knowledge. Yes, the MC technically had access to information, but believing that his body was not acting or being affected like other omegas, he simply passed it over. He didn’t feel concerned.

Would you, honestly, learn about menstruation if it didn’t happen to you? To answer that question, you only need to look around and see the way most men react to the topic.
Furthermore, Su-ah was the one with the most knowledge about omegas as most of his family are omegas, and MC’s family are predominantly alphas which is why there was this certainty about his secondary gender and the fact in the story even the doctor seems skeptical and dubious.

Therefore, it is normal for him to be shocked when, in the street, he suddenly becomes « weak » and the target of « naturally » / « genetically » (loads of bullshit) stronger people. He instantly becomes prey.

He was not a brat. He was — and still is — someone defying societal expectations and norms by wanting to pursue his hobbies, his sport, and simply his life, while trying to gain independence.

    And again:

Su-ah is the very reason the MC cannot control his own pheromones and, therefore, has no freedom over his body or even the freedom to walk outside alone.

Su-ah is the very reason Su-ah* is being objectified and used right now.

And I will add that Su-ah actively participated in the development of an internalised « omegaphobia » by treating him the way he still is.

We ain’t in no tribunal but I still rest my case, and on the case of : ion know how old he is, Su-ah. I find him GUILTY.

He did all that and never stopped to think if it would be something mc wanted.

You’ve misinterpreted my “brat” statement. That came from the party incident where he insulted the omegas there who were open and ready to help him through the news.

I agree with the rest of the things you’ve said, but I think you’re incorrect about him passing it over BECAUSE he was scented.. he rejected the omega news RIGHT at his party. Wasn’t that before he was scented? ML was very much aware of his feelings from there on out, which is why he started (again not saying he should’ve, of course). Am I far off? Did it start even when they were children, before they even got their verdicts?

I, as a transgender man who doesn’t accept menstruation, have to stay knowledgeable of the risks, even if I no longer bleed (if I’ve misunderstood your question then feel free to correct me) because it is still part of my bodies function. Biological women HAVE to be knowledgeable about these things just in case, even if they don’t have a cycle.. right? It’s just the responsible thing to do. Using a man in your example is inaccurate. I hope you understand why.

We both agree he is guilty of making the incorrect choice by not consulting MC, therefore being inconsiderate of how it will impact MC’s life.

My statement about menstruation was meant to describe a situation in which a person has never had a cycle in the first place, and where menstruation appears after puberty, in early adulthood — essentially out of nowhere. A situation similar to the Omega’s, who was almost completely clueless about heat. He knew it could happen, but since it never did, he didn’t bother looking into it.

That is why I used men as an example — more specifically cisgender men. No offense was intended.

It is his constant interaction with Su-ah, who was presenting as a dominant alpha, that is implied to have altered his secondary gender. So yes, he was scented by Su-ah involuntarily. And in my opinion, the narrative strongly hints at them drifting apart after the omega diagnosis, which would mean they likely didn’t speak during the short lapse of time between the diagnosis and the party.

In a previous comment (you can check my profile to find it (▰˘◡˘▰)), I explained that I can get over that. What I cannot get over is the fact that Su-ah kept going as they grew up — and even after being asked multiple times to stop.

He rejects the Omega news right from the diagnosis. He is shocked. He dissociates. He does not take it well. His mom throwing a “congratulations on your first period, I invited all the menstruated people I could find so they can explain, because I’m a dad and I don’t quite know what to do” kind of party made him crash out — and honestly, who wouldn’t?

Yet I keep seeing comments depicting Su-ah as benevolent for “putting up with” the MC’s behavior, and I want to reiterate this:

He was — and still is — someone defying societal expectations and norms by wanting to pursue his hobbies, his sport, and simply his life, while trying to gain independence.

I’ve made a more complete comment and statement about how I view their dynamic and how I feel about it. And still — no empathy whatsoever for Su-ah.

I apologise for the inconvenience, the mistake and the syntax errors it’s 4:40 am…
Rereading it made me realise that I tell people three times to look my previous comment (which should be available from my profile, yes it’s the third time I’m talking about) lol
