You’re right, he did! I just feel like I would have a hard time calling my boyfriend and my brother by the same term of endearment...I guess I have a lot to learn about the Korean language!?
it's not really endearment but an actual term tho. in my language it's the same, we have a term for "big brother" and everyone uses that to any older male, blood related or not. but ours is not as confusing like korean do lol.
