It's not completely fluffy, nor is it too dark. The mangaka nailed the balance of "just right".
The characters all have some sadness in their backstories, but it's used more to highlight the happiness they have in the manga. Overall, it gives more a "you can be happy again after bad stuff" feeling rather than tragedy.
I'm new to this, although it doesn't look like a tragedy here, but why people keep crying with tear overflowing and sadness everywhere on the comments? I really like this sensei's work and what to start reading it but I don't like sad stories. Is this one that sad?
