Is it that sad?

I'm new to this, although it doesn't look like a tragedy here, but why people keep crying with tear overflowing and sadness everywhere on the comments? I really like this sensei's work and what to start reading it but I don't like sad stories. Is this one that sad?

Perhaps they are sad because it isn't Yaoi

Is it even shounen-ai? Or just another slice of life story with bromance theme?

    Uh. It's not that sad.
It's sad in the sense that it's so beautifully understanding

more than calling it sad is kind of "touching", and is not tagged like shounen ai but you can find some bromance worth shipping

It's not completely fluffy, nor is it too dark. The mangaka nailed the balance of "just right".

The characters all have some sadness in their backstories, but it's used more to highlight the happiness they have in the manga. Overall, it gives more a "you can be happy again after bad stuff" feeling rather than tragedy.
