Guuurl, I've bought these updates on Renta when they acquired the licence and translated it!! .... There is a difference between manga translated by scan groups posted here and manga/manhwa licenced in english and posted here. Even if you look at it as from the point of the possibility of mangago being taken down. It's much harder for Japenese/Korean/Chinese based companies to take down sites that ate based elsewhere, but with hq in the US it increases the possibility of legal actions against mangago.... Do whatever you want. Undermine the effort the Renta employees put into negotiations with Japanese companies (Many Jp companies don't want to work with english publishers because of issues like this.). I just feel like the people who post this "to help the yaoi community" are doing the exact opposite.
Yeah...it is illegal, so don't you think you should take the given opportunity and support the author legaly? I think it is the right thing to do. When manga is not licensed, then I understand you don't want to buy the japanese version, when you have no idea what they're saying. But when you have the chance to support the author, reward them for their hard work and enjoy their work in the language you understand... that is worth my 2$
Scan groups work hard to get the mangas to us too, they put their money and time into the scanations, but they are respectful enough to stop working on a mamga that has been licensed, so the author doesn't lose profit...

Just an FYI, authors don't get paid by Renta! when a manga is licensed. It's the Publishing Houses that get paid. Also I buy manga as well.
Nobody is acting "high and mighty" whomever uploaded this stole it from the licensed site Renta. The remaining chapters were not done by a scanlation group. The scan group actually took responsibility and ceased the project because it was licensed and complete on Renta. This does a tremendous disservice and causes more problems for mangago. But your scrubby assess don't care and won't even scrounge up $2.00 to read it. It's a shame.
Oh really? But I still think that by supporting the author, you show the Publisher that this author is popular and could make them more money and that could motivate them to work with the author more.
What we can scrounge up or not isn't really any of your business now, is it dearie? If you are so keen on the ethics of Scanlation what exactly are you doing on Mangago? Also Mangago is more than capable of handling it's problems. It's been here for nearly 10yrs I'm sure it'll endure for another 10. Unless you're a lawyer? Which I'm guessing you're not. Who saif they weren't paid except people trying to justify stealing instead of buying the manga licensed ? With proof ? Let's be real if they weren't paid why would the authors publicly support renta on their twitter, announcing the licensing... while HATING scanlations.

They'll ALWAYS find excuses.AThey say they love something or an autjir but will never support them even given the opportunity (hell even if it's free)

Omg, YES!!! This is exactly what I think..... I normally don't engage in these conversations 'cause it just kills my brain cells, but I felt like this issue has been happening for a while and now they updated 5 mangas in one day, which is just ridiculous -_-
Ugh I feel you. It makes me so mad, that's why I immediately unfollow mangasi where official translations are posted/stolen. I cringed when I saw all the manga by renta suddenly posted here. The people who do this have no shame at all. Maybe they'll get burned. I remember how sublime managed to take down from.mangago their work when yhe same things happened.

It's a website and apps where you can read it for FREE ! The authors post them themselves, you can talk to the author in the comments, you can support them and make them gain fame and money for free !!
There are authors who thanked their fans because thanks to all the views they can make a living and can work on their stories full time without a side job.
And yet people upload it here, every updates, every week, so all the money and views you could give for free to the authors are given to mangago because of one thing LAZINESS AND SELFISHNESS.
I can understand that perfectly, I don't have the money to support ALL the manga I like either.
In my case the ones I'm blaming are the ones uploading it and the ones who excuse them and thank them for doing something shitty towards the people who worked on it.

Yeah....The Linewebtoon thing is bad, but I myself discovered the existence of the app here. Back when UnOrdinary first cane out, but right after that I started reading on the app..... All the people who read Line Webtoons here should go there 'cause reading here is just stupid....it takes a long time till it's here and the author gets nothing off of the reads here -_-

IF
1: They would be also in ENGLISH maybe (I need a bigger selection!), so I can understand it. I come here for the stories (sometimes just for the smut like this), what the fuck do I do with a manga which I can't understand?
2: If it would be possible to purchase them in other ways than in paper form. It takes too much space if I collect more of them, and the shipping cost and taxes are WAAAAAAAY too high (higher than the value of the actual manga, what the fuck, it does NOT worth it), and it's not environmentally friendly at all.
Come on, it's the XXI. century, their profit would be soooo much higher if they would just do these two easy steps. If they'd open up more, this wouldn't be a problem in the first place.
And yet, no one is bothered by the Zines, or when someone asks money for a fanart/fanfiction...which is basically stealing too, since they are earning money with OTHER'S intellectual products. Only that it's worse than this, because they only choose popular sources so they can get known with zero effort instantly.
Yeah it's true that it helped people discover the app or know that some series are on there (I also discovered that a story I followed here was posted on Webtoons in the comments), but I don't get why people continue to read it here after knowing about it and more than that why they keep uploading it every week, I mean IF they wanted to make it discovered, only or 2 updates would be fine.
