BJ Alex does receive criticism for the sex scenes and behaviour motivated from anger, jealousy and losing control. The author choose to write a scene, that many perceive as rape or just being too full on for what was respectful and needed, Hye-sung "squeezing his shirt" or not saying "no" and using a condom really doesn't detract from the criticisms made here. When Dojin raped Hye-sung and incapacitated him because he was upset that Hye-sung was trying to leave, tht rightly received a backlash too for not showing Hye-sung as a victim but instead this fickle young man. This rape scene for many will have been the last straw, as it basically showed no character growth and Dojin getting angry that he was rejected and going for Hye-sung's neck, was unjustifiable, when at this point he really needed to listen and behave like an affectionate partner if a credible development of their relationship is to be made. It is a problem that using non consensual sex, power imbalances and poor communication are basically the bread and butter for this genre, so obviously it does have a market, but that doesn't mean we all have to agree with such tropes.
Well stop reading Yaoi. If that scene bothers you so much to the point the the author is debating deleting the chapter then stop read in it. I follow Mingwa on Twitter and no one has commented on Jiwon's many sexual assualts against DG. That scene in chapter 39 was not rape at all. I want people to get a defintion to what rape is. I bet the same people including you will be right back when chapter 40 is released. Stop reading Yaoi or protest all yaoi authors if that scene bothers you. Start a #me too movement for yaoi. Demand that every single yaoi/BL author that (Korean, Japanese, Chinese etc) follows those rules. See how that goes... I'm sick of people like y'all who continue to complain over and over instead of doing something about it. Don't use this site, don't pay for their work (even though majority doesn't). Erm what? What has a few comments criticising poor writing equate to "harassing the author on twitter"? The comment section should be a free space where people can discuss the concerns of certain tropes or if they feel the plot has just gone to pot because of their usage. Most of the sex scenes in this webtoon haven't been consensual, nor has there been any real character growth. Going to avoid being repetitive, as it ha been discussed already why this chapter was violent and just disappointing.

This isn't what happened though, you know it, we all know it. Hye-sung was saying that he hated Dojin. Dojin then went for Hye-sung's neck, which you can see startled Hye-sung. He then kissed him without consent, and as a means to assert dominance. Sexual assault. Hye-sung was trying to sleep after a traumatic day, returning to an environment he hadn't been to in months to someone he still hardly knows. They aren't in a relationship with each other, Hye-sung hasn't even said that he has ever loved Dojin, it's Dojin who is trying to force things with no consideration of Hye-sung. Holding someone's neck, because you are angry that they have rejected you is despicable for people to justify and it's alarming that it isn't being recognised as assault.

Rape and assault are depicted in lots of media, books, novels, tv shows, and movies. There are tons of fictional sex scenes with heated tension, expressions and words. If this tamer scene bothers you so much, you might as well boycott and raise hell about everything else, become Amish and live in a very small village where the most controversial thing would be a group of migrating albino deer.

Let Fargo, draw and write the story. Nothing wrong with criticism but if you feel that the sex in chapter 39 was rape, how about you all go email/tweet all the countless other yaoi writers/illustrators such as Mingwa (BJ Alex) that their work has rape in it.
