Well, one of my theories is that Abeno is Ashiya's dad (and this is the worst scenario), but - from the oher hand - it's only said that Abeno has golden eyes and blonde hair - just like Hanae's dad. Besides his eyes and hair Abeno looks totally different than Ashiya's dad - he only resembles Sakae because of his hair and eyes. His face is different, even his eyes' shape is different - so yes, I believe it's legal to ship them as it would be legal to ship Hanae with any blonde guy, and here, in this World, we have millions of blondes, lol. I ship them anyway no matter what.

Yep, I think the same as you! Abeno's similarity with Ashiya's dad is -in my opinion- a matter of presence, not appereance itself.

Definitely (づ￣ ³￣)づ I believe this month's chapter will give us many answers for many questions about Abeno's past, so let's just wait a little longer... Abeno and Ashiya have one of he best chemistry I've ever seen in mangas, yaoi or not. Also, I have a strange feeling that even mangaka herself ship them in some way, too.

And I also think she does ship them but she doesn't want so settle a relationship so the manga keeps the shonen tag -which it actually is- and they don't change it to just yaoi/shonen ai/BL

Heheh, that's right^^ This manga won't change tag for shounen-ai, that's for sure, I also believe there won't be any relationship at all. Some ppl ship Hanae with Zenko, but (although I like Zenko and her dad), I can't see any chemistry between her and Hanae, they are just a good colleagues (I wouldn't even call them friends), but I simply can't imagine them as lovers.

Yep, these kind of manga won't have any relationship confirmed and even tho I like Zenko, she doesn't show interest in anybody hahaha. Plus, Ashiya is literally friends with eveyone so he could be shipped with every single character in the story ┑(￣Д ￣)┍

I believe there are these two possibilities: 1. this woman on photo is Aoi OR 2. Aoi is this black cat... And I'm sure this boy on the photo is Sakae... But for now, we know one thing for sure: Aoi is a woman, although we can't see Aoi's face, she wears very wide obi - and only women are wearing obi like this.

Well, I was thinking that maybe Aoi is Hanae's grandma, so Aoi could be Sakae's mother... There simply must be some connection between Aoi and Hanae - it's mentioned a few times now that Hanae and Aoi gathered demons around them easily. I really think that Aoi could be Hanae's grandma = Sakae's mother (????) And I thought, too, about next two possibilities of this mystery photo: maybe this black cat in this boy's arms is just some plushie cat, just a toy OR - and this is reaaaalyy crazy theory! - this black cat from the photo after it's death became a demon and this demon was Aoi. If in shinto religion even some dead objects (like swords for example) can became demons in human forms, so maybe cat after it's death can became a demon in human form, too? Really, it's getting more & more complicated!

Talking about cat!Aoi turned into a demon in her human form, I was thinking that while the photo was taken, Aoi could be still just a cat (not demon yet) who lived as a simply cat for long years together with Sakae as his beloved pet, and then (when Sakae was a teenager) she could died as a cat and became a demon in human form.

If Ashiya and Abeno are relatives, I'm sure heaven's door will close definitely for me lol (if it isn't already).
I also think that kid can be Sakae -thank Goku puberty hit him hard- and the cat is Aoi bc I don't think the mangaka would show Aoi's appereance that easily.
And then, why would Zenko say it's cursed? Maybe Yahiko said something to her?

For now I still have a hope that they aren't relatives, but who knows what's in Sensei mind...
I didn't have idea that Zenko said it's cursed, I only saw japanese skans and I don't understand a single word from it. Do you understand Japanese or maybe did you read some summary in English? If so, can you tell me where did you read it?
