everyone knows what is right and wrong. he beat up the uke until there were wounds all over his body. that is the characteristic of an abuser. a different person wont "change him" or make him "a better man". thats how women end up with abusive men, thinking they can change them.
-^^^ i worry for people like OP who have this mindset it’s literally the difference of life and death in a real life abusive relationship being this purposely naive and blissfully ignorant. Authors that portray sympathetic abusers and the readers who rationalize and emphasize with them are so damaging to the psyche of actual abused victims and potential victims who will have been told to make excuses for their abuser because various outlets of our society actually does in fact side with humanizing abusers over victims day in and day out.
He’s clearly a sociopath he needs psychiatric help so those people who cross him won’t end up in the hospital or worst in the cemetery.
there really is no such thing as knowing what is right and wrong, especially in these types of topics. And a different person can change them, that is if that person can wiggle their way into his heart. And people think differently and hence love is different for them, change is possible for him, but he just hasn't met the person to make him think so. Some people can't always hold in their built up frustration and they eventually let it out, gotta understand both sides. I doubt you have met every single person on this earth and listened to their love experience or life story, i was just speaking with an open mind.

Well of course but it’s a story it can’t be taken to a literal sense. There’s of course a teachable moment and see that “yeah that is bad” just like in a movie or book of the sort
Don’t take it to heart, we’re here to chill. I commented the way I did because I studied psychology and that’s how I analyze him and how he could be helped,; not of course to antagonize you. The story seems to be fluffy but it is heavy with abuse , bullying and violence so expect that readers will be sensitive. It may be a work of fiction but there are people who are going through the same thing.
It's fictional but depicts a situation that happens everyday and everywhere. We need to be careful how we see those kind of behaviours It starts like this then you just excuse criminals. If your bestfriend or sibling found themselves in an abusive relationship I sure hope you wouldnt tell them that their partners is going through some shit and that you're just trying to understand what nobody wants to try. Not everything makes sense with a mentally ill person. And all seriousness aside, if Jihyun wasn't hot, literally nobody would root for him.
books and movies tend to inspire debates and become feel very strongly. nothing wrong with it. books speak to us in a spiritual level, and can trigger emotions based on personal experiences. i usually dont comment unless i dont mind getting a lot of varying opinions thrown back at me.

But let’s step back and see the creative process in this work, it’s made to entertain. Not everyone will like it and that’s okay it’s not made to please everyone. Those behaviors are what the author wanted to portray for their characters.
If it was my best friend of course I wouldn’t want them to be an abusive relationship but it’s not my best friend it’s character in a manga in a fictional world. If it’s sensitive for some people that go thru that in real life then I suggest reading something more on the grounds of what they are comfortable with.
I just think it’s unfair to put such a heavy toll on characters behavior to the reality.

Tbh both semes are actually alright. The black haired seme... you just have to understand him better. He is just going through shit and he clearly doesn't know the norms of how to treat others, and had a different upbringing. If he finds someone who understands him better than our mc, he would actually become a great man, take his older brother for example. Though we don't know much about him, just looking at the brotherly relationship tells us alot about him deep down. Well i love this manga as well as the characters, i just hope they all get their own happiness.
