I really like that the plot is focused mostly on the main leads (so far) and without any unnecessary second love interest or evil villain/villainess. Would anyone recommend me a webtoon/manhwa similar to this? Thanks! :)

Honestly I love those!! So much drama and personally idfky but I love feeling hurt and crying along with the FL or ML when they get hurt ( weird ik ) but I think it's pretty good as long as it's not TOO much ya know what I'm saying? Cuz then I just get put off

And a second love interest is good to add some 'spice' to the story ya know what I'm saying? But hey, you do you! If you want up to 5 love interests GO OFF LMAO but if you just want one ML and one FL then hell to the yeah with that too! As long as you enjoy writing and drawing the story it's all good!

    Awwwwww
Thanks a hecking lot. That was very encouraging and helpful.
I'm currently worrying over killing my future readers because oh how dark the story is, it contains lots of tragedies, half tragedies, well half tragedies? (Time keeps rewinding itself so~). There will, however, be a love rival and a half (the half is the male lead himself having another identity no one even himself knows he had. Don't ask how XD) I shall strive to make a love rival strong enough you actually wouldn't know who she'll end up with kekeke!!

Right now I shall focus on characters development not only for the main characters but the side ones too, though I am afraid it might cause the story to be extra complicated as it is complicated enough now and also some comedy.
The most interesting part is that I came up with this very complicated story while being bored in an Arabic (native language) grammar class 3 years ago.

    LeenAnanz January 7, 2020 5:23 pm

    And actually
My profile picture is a fast sketch I did at school today
Noro. An 11 year old boy with a cold personality, he had his own shares of tragedies. He is very smart and insightful. He also has very rare powers within him many clans fight upon which is the reason he has this pale skin, white like snow hair and ashy light blue eyes appearance, he is one of the "white children" a very complicated topic I came up with and he's an even rarer type of them.
Just thought I'd sketch him smiling lol.
    Spoiler:
Poor him. I might actually kill him in one of the endingS.

Their not bad at all! I also love reading them, and I think the majority of people do too! I just posted my original question because I have been obsessed (lol) with reading webtoons that always contain a love rival or villain/villainess that I thought this was a nice change.
To be more specific about what I liked about this story, maybe because it doesn’t have any big drama and this makes me focus more on the leads and their growth for each other? ٩(๑❛ᴗ❛๑)۶
By the way, your idea for your story sounds amazing!!! I do love complicated stories that makes we want to know what happens next :)

Interesting opinion, I shall work on that! I shall give one of my characters something like that. Although my story does not in fact have an actual villain which is hard to make a story like that. I believe the only villain would be themselves.
Hmmm letting the reader focus on the growth between them rather than the drama. Refreshing indeed. It should be alright with her mother's old friend a baker who quit being a herb doctor after failing to save someone precious to her, she took care of Medori the female lead after she lost her parents in a fire accident when she was young. It should work between that woman and the red moon clan commander as he turns out to be that person in the past she thought she lost.
Since I haven't decided on an exact storyline for it yet. During the story I'll let the two focus more on the obstacles and walls between them, let's say I was inspired by The Vampire And The Maid for this one hehe (▰˘◡˘▰).

I don’t mind a second love interest, but I personally hate it when the main girl/boy is obviously in love with one of the love interests and still gives hope to the other one. (Spoiler if you haven’t read or watched the Twilight series)

For example, I read the Twilight series and I couldn’t have hated Bella more than when she was pining over Edward, but still tried to date Jacob!!! God, I really hate when someone knows the other person loves them and they know they don’t love them the same, but they still try being with that person for what ever reason. It gives the other person hope only to hurt them in the end!
Sorry if that got confusing and long. I would love to check out your story! What’s it called?

    Oh my Gosh YES!!
    I HATE IT TOO
Like what even is the point of the love rival itself
That's why my heroine haven't really figured out her feelings for any of them at all first.
I call it Scars Of Truth(-the black moon).
But nothing is released now. As I am still an 11th grader who must polish their drawing skills (honestly I suck at drawing) and work on the story before even start drawing the actual thing, I don't have much experience when it comes to this, there's also the fact that soon I'll become a 12th grader which is called Tawjihi in my country.. the most nerve-wracking one of them all *sigh*. And the fact that my parents who refuse to buy me a pencil so I don't draw and this country doesn't give much support tho these stuff. I must say I am kinda nervous about the story, I want it to be perfect, I just want people to enjoy it and remember it, I'm a perfectionist when it comes to my creation AND I'm also a lazy person XD There's also the fact that I should improve my drawing style. As people

Ah did I mention one of my characters is actually my friend and classmate who let's pretend she reads my manga reincarnated after her death (I had lots of fun asking her creepy questions like how she wants to die when she had no idea at the time)
So I included her in my story as a way of mourning for her. And like that, she got reborn into my world lol. I even gave her my friend 's nickname.

Its bad, a second lead character just spells lazy writing.

Why put a character in a story, if their soul purpose is to blindly fall in love with main lead character but never stand a chance?

They have no substance and growth, or they so lovable and caring but always loose to the douche male lead. They existence shouldn't be to distract and create drama.

The story should be creative, new, unique and stand on its own. It shouldn't have to rely on a worthless character to keep readers guessing or interested.

Dare to be different second leads are cliche and a thing of the past. The maid and the vampire is proof of that.

And 2 (at they very maximum 4) endings? >:3

That's because the story doesn't really revolve all around the love between the male lead and the female lead, or romance. I left the shipping to my possible future readers(even though I already have my favourite shipping lol).
But I as a reader and not an author am sick of all those nice guys being thrown away in manga as supporting characters. That's why I'm only making multiple endings

    Ah I posted accidentally before finishing lol;

That's why I'm only making multiple endings, so that no one lose.
Now that I think about the reasons why there are multiple endings can be linked to the actual plot of the story (an idea just popped in my mind) wooooha this is genius XD don't wanna spoil lol.
Why make 2 stories with the whole purpose of having a character ending up with a different guy in each, when first that isn't really the whole thing to the story and second, it's just inconvenient and unnecessary. Making multiple endings sounds better.
How about (I'm literally organizing my thoughts here lol) towards the near end of the story, the story shall branch into two timelines. In each the story will start developing for a different target, just like routes? The other 2 endings I planned from way before, don't exactly focus on the shipping, but the way the story unfolds. And I plan to put a bitter sweet ending in one and a FREAKING plot twist in the other lol.

But right now I'm working so hard on the balance in the story.
So I don't have a big villain in the story, which I think is good as I'm not going for a typical revenge story, as I want to make the story as original as possible, and revenge stories are boring these days.
The balance I'm talking about is the balance between light and darkness in the story, or like joy and sadness. Since my story is just filled with lots of negativity, I'm seeking to add joy and organize it in the plot, but it's hard.
Also I'll have to be careful about the character development!
Woha this is an important point as a reader.
Characters need to have depth which is already not so bad in the story. But development in the characters as plot unfolds is necessary.
AND there's the fact that I'm working on making the plot follow the other characters than the main ones as well. And develop every one of them. Ah this is so hard.

I'm also worried about my female character having a weird character. Of course she isn't the weak stupid type but isn't arrogant jerk one too. Since she suffers from depression and suicidal thoughts, is smart and not gullible, kind and caring, and also a herbalist doctor. I really wonder if she is weak for suffering from depression and self hatred or if she is strong for having firm principles, courage and responsibility. Like this mix of personality is just so unusual and is risky for me.

    akfgeneration January 18, 2020 8:39 pm

    Okay..why herbalist though?

You have to sell the character make her believable and relatable, then readers will take to her easier.

Suicidal thought and depression aren't weak...it really depends how you portray her...if she is always talking and feeling sorry for herself then weak...but if she acknowledges her short comings and doesn't let them hinder her and tries to deal with said issues then strong.

I really like that your taking you time to iron out the wrinkles in story, a good writer always brain storms extensively.
