Tbh I don't really agree. Joowon wants to keep him as property? Joowon himself had other relationships beside Haesoo. He thought if for him Haesoo's going to be number one because he loves him, Haesoo will be the same. It was naive, it was selfish. No one is denying that. Imo it was desperation and projection. Because for Joowon Haesoo is the most important person in his life and he "can't live" without him.
Joowon was scared of rejection. Their family imo had a big impact on their choices and why their relationship has never progressed further.

the thing is...their family wasn’t even a family for the last like ... 10 years of the story. their parents split up because of them and they continued their relationship and never decided to expand or fix it. Joowon definitely treats him like property. He has gone against haesoo’s wishes multiple times. You can actually compare Taku and Joowon’s jealousy and see that when Taku hears about H’s first time, he tells him he was a bit jealous. VS when J thought that H was dating someone new and proceeded to wait in front of his house uninvited, dig into the matter even though H told him he didn’t want to tell him, HARM HIMSELF DURING A PHOTOSHOOT AND MAKE A FOOL OUT OF HIMSELF AND H AND T BY CAUSING A SCENE AT A RESTAURANT....that’s not love thats obsession and codependency PERIODT. haesoo just needs to publish a book and end up alone

i’m pretty sure that i remember him deciding to become an Actor/Model to see H again but i don’t really recall??? - I don't remember anything like that.
Joowon wanted to become actor before he met Haesoo. It was discussed how he was practicing for his first audition during their first meeting. He spent most of his childhood siting in front of TV. It was said in q&a he was in love with the idea of nuclear family presented in American movies (his father was never home and busy, his mother died when he was small).
Then their parents divorced, they lost touch... And Joowon started getting bigger roles. What's more in recent chapters it was shown Joowon wasn't really happy with his life and he wanted to incarnate into characters with happy lives with trivial problems (one of the biggest reason why he became an actor).
When he met Haesoo for the second time he was already the actor. Haesoo was the one who got him through dark time when he hit the bottom (we don't know for sure but it looks like he got really depressed when he started to get famous).

I'm not really sure why the discussion is getting so... Passionate? PERIODT.
All of us can have different view on the matter and that's ok? I hope that's ok lol?
I still think their family matters rather traumatised them, if you think how they recall their past over and over again. Imo it IS important factor which stopped their relationship of progress beside Joowon's fear of rejection and other factors.
And author said there will be main couple (about your last sentence).

To be precise their parents are divorced for about 7 years :D their parents split... And they lost contact. We don't know how much time had passed before they met... when Joowon went through a dark time and the one who helped him was Haesoo, who appeared in his life again.
Oh and Joowon has a problem definitely. I find it really sad that his thoughts and whole world spin around Haesoo non stop.
Although I'd argue about love part. But that's once again my opinion.
I genuinely think he should end up alone. Both relationships are toxic in different way. Jowoon and Haesoo are super codependent and obsessed and Jowoon never considers Haesoo’s feelings and treats him like an object but on the other hand Haesoo seems to be using Taku as a rebound and i think they both know that. I think that Haesoo should end up alone. I’ve been in both relationship-types and they’ve both been suffocating. I bet he’s gonna end up going abroad
