Nope not just u. I feel it. Also it was so confusing how his own knight didn't know it was him. Like, what? Or is that not the actual king's appearance n it's his alter ego? And it is fast. Like they just explain everything in one go without like "showing" or letting us "experience" what's going on.
And the FL character confuses me the most. Is she timid or is she not? Is she smart or not? Cunning or not? Want to be nice or not? Has resolve, doesn't have resolve? Like what? I need some sorta of consistency with her. Feel like the author wants her to be a typical nice damsel in distress but "oh no" she's actually OP but it's not flowing well for me at least
Also that how knight scene was so forced and cliche. They bring a completely new character that she doesn't even know, makes suggestions to her so that she goes to the knight n the knight just "happens" to talking dirty n now want to do the dirty deed with her?!?! Like what? Don't we all know the bride candidacy is going on with only witches? So y'all touching the King's woman essentially right? Like who wouldn't know that? Is that not palace etiquettes?
Definitely feels like a force scene needed to show the all so powerful king but I think it could have been done in a different way.

the scene about the francian knights about to attack her and the emperor just comes by to her rescue... defeats the whole purpose of the social affairs lesson where the instructor told them they can't rely too much on the emperor and that they have to find the patterns scattered around the palace so they have to think of a way to do the shit themselves.
and is it just me but the love story was just placed there like it doesn't flow all too well for me but it's just... there hahaha
