You're very right, there's absolutely nothing romantic about this abusive relationship. Namkyum is a "thing", not a human being for these nobles and his worst tormentor. You read a story for what it is, it doesn't
have to turn into a convenient romance for those immature readers who see everything as hearts and roses. Some people have no empathy, whether they like it or not and "master" is one of them. Every single chapter was about him satisfying his desires, something he'll once again do, I honestly also don't get the whole surprise. He was technically raped and hit by him, why not once again? An abuser is an abuser, and i like the story for its gruesome content and the plot in general, I don't try to turn it into something else

****SPOILER ALERT*******. I’m pretty sure that unlike Killing stalking which was Labeled psychological horror, Painter of the night is yaoi, which is sexual ROMANCE between men. At first yes seungho was abusing na Kuym and he was abusing his power. But then he felt jealous of jung in hun, he want crazy when Nakuym ran away, he treats him much better than the treats the servants, When he got a cold he called a doctor and it said in the book no one would call a doctor for a servants cold andddddd he stoped touching na kyum bc he knew what in hun said to him and didn’t want to make na Kyum feel worse. In chapter 52 did you people not see sungho getting angry bc the dude was asking him all this stuff about Na kyum like since when was be possessive, HE WAS DRIVEN TO THE EDGE that’s why he got pissed and said that. I don’t think there all going to gang rape him in the ext episode bc na kyum has accepted that this is his life and will have an orgy with them willingly. And I think seungho will get even more pissed.

Exactly like he even has crazy eyes at the end of the chapter. He gets VISIBLY pissed whenever anyone asks or shows interest toward nakyum. I find it REALLY hard to believe that after all the affection he’s grown to feel for Nakyum and protecting him from the eyes of other men that he would just be like “lol ok” because Min wants to fuck Nakyum too. Honestly wouldn’t be surprised if he’s like “yea let’s go have an orgy with my painter” and locks them all in a room with himself and his katana.

Get help please lmao. The point of an ongoing story is so people can theorize what happens next. It’s fiction. People are allowed to anticipate things. No one is saying it will actually happen wtf are you on. It would be different if people were insisting that Seungho was magically going to become or already is this great person and that he loves Nakyum. He doesn’t. At least not in a normal way. He’s attached but that isn’t love. It’s fine if you don’t like Seungho, like 99% of people here don’t either read the mf comments. But you’re flat out attacking people for even DARING to theorize about the plot and the development of his character. You need to sit down honestly.
----possible spoilers or whatever -----
my comment got deleted just for saying people should stop trying romanticise the relationship between the psycho lord and the painter.
Why are you so shocked about the idea of the painter being part of an orgy at bequest of the psycho lord?
do you seriously think this is a love story? and not a tragic tale?
Do you seriously think the lord is in LOVE? looooool
do you think the psycho lord whom his own family are afraid of is not capable of causing more harm to the painter?
WAKE UP! stop being naive.
And I will say it again if the role of the painter was a female those of you romanticising or shipping the lord and the painter now, would be in disarray and be triggered by the amount of rape and sexual violence that takes place. But for some reason when its two men, its more "erotic" ? Tsk tsk. Whatevs, I'm not interested in shaming people over their sexual fetishes or fantasies.
Having hardcore sexual fantasies and preferences is actually quite common for women.
I just don't get why they need to hide behind the role being taken by a different gender to romanticise/embrace it?
