This whole argument became pointless when:
1. The topic had become too shabby
2. That one reply causes a huge uproar
3. When people here have different opinions.
For the longest time, yuri is something unrelatable with whichever tags, take this forum for example you will know who have been a fan of yuri for a long time and just came here because it is something foul from the eyes of society. Himejoshis been swallowing yuri with different tags so long you won't ever number the times. I see the standpoint of both parties, maybe this is something they aren't used to. If I were the same from five years ago who never touched the yuri genre I would agree with the people who has a problem with age gap tags, but should I stand with them my comment and opinion will deem pointless. I do not stand with any sides, but came her to inform those who are new to yuri that this isn't something that should be taken down your throat. It was proven that mangas with foul contents and tags never caused harm to the society, I'm pretty sure if you go deep down more into yuri world soon enough this topic will get rid off and will be just another meme.

The problem isn't that it's Yuri or that there is an age gap, the issue is that the age gap is between someone that is extremely underage. Having a 30 year old and a 50 year old would be ok. Woman X woman is great too, it was what I was expecting when I clicked this manga but instead what I got to see what a child and an adult. Which sucks especially since there isn't enough Yuri out there.
I don't think that the following statement is true: "foul content and tags never caused harm to society" since it's still in debate within psychology. The only main conclusions so far are that
1) things are complex and there are many factors, some of which are biological
2) it influences people but it's not a cause and effect relationship, meaning that this won't make you into a pedophile just like playing video games won't make you into a killer or a school shooter.
3) that media does actually have an effect on us as people and can encourage us to take part in certain behaviours
There really aren't any studies that specifically research on manga, yuri, pedophilia etc. that I have heard of.
To me yuri, yaoi and other such things are actually extremely normal but this isn't the case in some places and I do think that should be changed but we as a society and as people have to draw a line somewhere.
Yeah, this whole post did get blown out of proportion, or wasn't meant to start a debate. It was just me clicking on a Yuri manga, being happy that I finally found a new Yuri manga since there isn't a lot of Yuri on here, realising that I have been mislead and just making a short comment complaining about the "child" thing.
Btw, you guys could try to set up some kind of a donation thing since translating takes a lot of work. Idk what stuff you have helped translate and I personally wouldn't support whoever translated the story above.

If you support this manga people will assume that you're a pedophile because this manga includes a drawing of a child having a sexual relationship with an adult. The type of person would would get off to and like seeing a naked child having sex has a sexual attraction to a child which is what makes them a pedophile. You do not have to rape or to molest a child to be a pedophile. Most people who read this story just automatically felt disguist, I would compare it to seeing a cockroach inside your food.
Yes, it's a drawing and it's fiction but that doesn't make the child not a child, it just makes it not a real life human child which is why people are only complaining about it and not calling the police.
I don't think that you have molested or raped a child if you enjoy this story. I don't think that you're necessarily a pedophile, however I do think that there is a strong proablity (which would explain why you didn't automatically feel disgust) or you are very young and foolish.
I was young and foolish at one point and I would have argued that this is harmless untill I found out that certain people join online communities where they talk and condone about those actions and also further actions done by the type of people that read stuff like this, this does include dating some very young people. They typically meet in the comment sections of stories such as this one and they create communities where a lot of unacceptable things are treated as normal. Stories like this do make it seem far more normal and acceptable than it actually is and studies have shown that possitive depictions of certain actions do increase the likelyhood of us performing those actions. That doesn't mean that if you read stories like this, you will go out and rape a child but it does mean that when people read stories like this, they will have a higher proablity of doing so than people who do not read stories like this.
I myself had experienced this as a child. I didn't even know or understand what has happened because you know, as children we don't know about the rights we actually have. I wasn't able to do anything about it, he is out-there living his life happily while I personally only realized what had actually happened a few years ago. I remember having nightmares about what happened when I was a child which says a lot since I don't rememeber most of my childhood. I consider myself lucky because it left a minimal effect on me, I do repress most of it and I do repress most of my emotions but other than that I'm able to function normally. I remember going to school with another girl who went through the same thing and I remember seeing her have mental breakdowns in class and I have seen the effect it can have on people which is why I treat topics such as this one with the respect they deserve. If you're reading this then I hope that you won't be one of the people who fall victim to this because your mental health can have a huge impact on your life and future.
This is also why I believe that we should all be educated on this topic. If you're reading this and if you're a minor please remember that an adult can take advantage of you, they hold a position of power. You should never meet them in real life, if they are talking to you in a sexual/romantic way then that's a red flag, don't let them know your address and block them. Most female victims of violent crimes are victims of people who are close to them while most male victims are victims of strangers. Never ever send nudes of yourself to anyone especially if you're underage as that can be used for blackmail, (a friend of a friend made that mistake, spend months getting blackmailed by two pedophiles and eventually those pictures got send to everyone that attended her school.) Additionally you can actuallly get in trouble for prducing cp even if you're the victim in that situation. Stay safe and remember that adults can be wrong, they can be bad and they can be shitty. This applies to everyone, even teachers and parents.
