I understand that names, hurtful words, etc. have been exchanged with each other. If we approached this topic better without utilizing those things it wouldn’t have led to a conversation like this. This debate isn’t really one anymore due to how it’s gone on and what has been said.
The best thing to do is to agree to disagree. As much as I despise using that statement (my father used to use it all the time lol), I think it’s the best thing to do at this moment.
I’ve talked with bigbootybaka explaining that from their perspective and others coming from theirs that I can see what they are saying regarding how my comment could come off while explaining my reasoning for my opinion. I also told them that if they had approached me in a different way that it wouldn’t have led to something like this. As much as I have a thick skin or not, I did not deserve to be called a rape lover which even if my family and I didn’t experience anything like that it still would be unacceptable.
The main thing I want people to understand in this situation is the importance of respect towards another perspective and opinion. Doesnt matter if they agree with you or disagree. From one simple path of approaching the topic led this into a back-and-forth for a few days now. And as a sign of human behavior, we want to surely establish our opinion/beliefs and will continue to push and push towards having someone not only see their opinion but agree with it. If not, we are willing to continue to fight and respond until something gives (even a little bit).
I appreciated people’s support and their courage to share their opinion but I also that if this continues, it will get worse and people will get hurt and motivated to have someone else feel the same way to make them feel better (humans are messed up lol). I wasn't upset over being called a bitch, I was genuinely confused as to why the person who said it was so angry for no apparent reason. I've been called much worse than a bitch, so it's pretty much childs play to me. I only responded to you because you annoyingly butted into a conversation that you weren't involved in and had nothing valuable to say. As for the lies, you said I was all over the comment section attacking people whom I disagree with. Firstly, I only responded to a handful of comments, but even if I did respond to many more, why would that even matter? I can respond to however many comments I want. Secondly, I wasn't attacking people, I was refuting some of their talking points. If that comes off as attacking to you, oh well. I know a lot of people thing that what’s going on is rape due to the amount of times the word “stop” was used. That’s understandable especially because we are reading it and not hearing it. However, what is happening in this chapter and the the previous is not rape. It’s clearly not rape due to the inner monologue we are getting from the main character. He is being dominated and by the facial expressions and thoughts point to that being it.
I will agree that it’s a little uncomfortable to read especially when dialogue is all that we have to rely on but it isn’t what you think. If anyone thinks differently that’s fine and I understand where you are coming from. Rape is disgusting and “stop” and “no” are absolutely words that are commanding and should be listened to in the time of an individual not giving consent. However, in this relationship (Mc and big boss enjoying each other) and because it’s a comic (limited by words/dialogue translation), these words have a different meaning and are not as straight forward.
