Think about the time she lives in...I'm not sure there's a save way to do so there. Plus, abortion was viewed badly-it still is, actually- and she herself obviously has a complex and trauma about it.
Not to mention, she's already in enough danger keeping her child a secret from the emperor, imagine if she killed it. It would be viewed as blasphemy.

By the looks of it emperor still doesn't know that shes pregnant and it's a fantasy world if woman can became palace guard they can definitely get an abortion and him finding out that shes pregnant will further complicate the situation plus she doesn't want to abandon the child but cant keep it eather so it's a logical choice I think it's just for a plot development

it’s either an unborn child that has literally no thought or her life that’s still worth living? Abortion isn’t bad like let’s say u get raped and get pregnant, would you want to keep a baby that has the face of the rapist? In all honesty I would want to keep the baby but some people don’t and that’s okay it’s their opinion

It depends on the person. I personally would rather die than abort, but that's just my personal view. Also I don't see a lot of other female guards so she might be an exception or there really isn't good work elsewhere. I can't imagine she, as a random person, can join any noble guard or army position elsewhere if she abandons her post with the king. It could immediately make her a criminal. I don't think as a pregnant woman or even one with a child she could join a mercenary group even if they would have her. I also don't think she has the skills to join a different profession where during that time most start apprenticeships from when they are small children. It could very well be a choice between staying where she is and risking being a wanted criminal for life while having to work as a prostitute to support herself and the child. That is also assuming she could escape anyone sent after her which with those shadow knights I really doubt. There's a difference between trying to find some unknown woman whose features and name we don't know from the middle of a bustling festival and go find x, they look exactly like this, etc. I will say the reason she's hiding it from the king make sense, but not why she is hiding it from the captain. It is going to become apparent at some point she should try to get his assistance now. If there are female knights they must have some kind of maturity leave in place. My only thought on that is if she does come out she will have to retire fro her position and as stated above she may not have a lot of other career options

By the looks of her colleges and people around her her being a knight isn't out of the ordinary so I assume women have equal opportunities and stuff and by the kings reaction to her not feeling well despite having an obvious crush on her I also assume that kings guards are taken good care of that also includes maternal leave for female knights.
Even if she somehow has to leave her position kings guards are highly trained and get big amount of salary so she will have money during pregnancy and as a highly trained knight she has a lot of options plus even if female knights are rear she would be in high demand because some women prefer samesex guards.
Dont forget that this is a fantasy world and despite being based on 13-14 century Europe we shouldn't apply our worlds traditions gender norms and history on it.

That's certainly a fair point and now that we know he can enter her dreams apparently and there's magic contracts we can assume there's magic in the world as well. That being said we don't know enough about the world yet to say for sure one way or another. It could break a lot of ways. I do hope she has a better reason for hiding her pregnancy other than I don't want the king to know because that seems silly and stupid. Also why in gods name would the doctor help her out? Doesn't seem like the kings super forgiving when it comes to liars and he's certainly going to eventually be found out. I guess we'll just have to wait and see

She didn't ask for this eather and are you suggesting
that she should sacrifice her well being and risk her own life for the well being of a lump of sells that aren't even alive.we know that in these comic everything will turnout okay but do you think that in real life the king would actually belive her? She would have been executed immediately along with the baby.
Though she obviously chose the path she considered right that doesn't mean that if she chose the alternative path she should be shamed for it, it would have been logical option if she wanted the best and most safe option for her. ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭

I regret participating in this debate because I don't think that's the good place to do it. I won't explain to you why abortion should not be the first solution you should think of, and should be in the worst scenario the last thing to do. But it's just weird how you talk here about a "lump of cells" , but you instinctively used the term "baby" before. See, you still consider this "lump of cells" as a human being deep down. And we were all lump of cells at one point (and still are). Anyway, I'll just say one thing: being pro-choice doesn't mean being pro-abortion. It means that you have to respect her choice and she knows what's better for her. She don't want to give up on her baby, so you should not say "why can't she get rid of it" so easily, like it's the natural thing to do. If you agree with me here, then the debate is over.

I dont understand why you think that we are trying to persuade a fictional character in to getting an abortion but we are discussing why abortion would be logical in this situation if you don't agree you're free to scroll or I don't know comment that you dont agree but you dont have to shame anyone about what kinde of desigion they would have made in her shoes and impose your morals on others I refuse to continue this discussion any further because it's clear that you wouldn't respect other people's choices and beliefs.

Like, I said in another comment, it's not about it being a fictionnal character or not. This situation apply in real life, and if it were a real girl, the situation would still be the same. There's no "logical solution" in this case, it doesn't have anything to do with logic, it's about what the pregnant women thinks about her baby, how she feels about wanting to keep it or not. I don't understand how keeping the baby is illogical in this situation, but anyway. If that's she want, then you can' t say it's illogical. I'm not shaming you, if my own opinion is shaming you, then maybe it means that you're insecure about you're own opinion to begin with. If you took it as shaming you, I'm sorry but it really was not my intention, I was just explaining my reasoning. And we are in a comment section, so you can't just expect everyone to agree with you, so you can't just say "scroll down if you don't agree". We're here to debate and discuss with people if different opinion. You have to accept divergent opinion from yours. To end, I'm not shaming anyone. I consider abortion as a crime, because I don't believe a baby growing in a belly is just a lump of cell, but a form of life. That's my opinion (and scienctific too consider a foetus is a form of life) . If I think it's not a good thing to do, I'm gonna say it. I'm sorry if it hurts people. I'm not saying it's an easy choice to choose to abort, and I have a lot of compassion for women in this situation, but I can't be an hypocrite and tell them that I think it's okay in order to avoid hurting them. And, if it can reassure you, I don't think you should not abort at all, because in some case you don't have other options, the context don't allow you to have a child, but I think you should avoid abortion and leave it as a last solution, I don't think you should make abortion the easy choice like you did, because that's not an easy choice. If to you thinking that abortion is a crime means automatically shaming people, then you're the one that have a problem with other people opinion.
Cant she just get rid of the baby?
