Anyone finds it odd that she's super attached to the fantasy of ein being this 'sweet, innocent angel'?
Even if she's being deceived, by continuing to push this expectation of him (on him, on to herself, and to everyone else), it is going to be a burden for him to live up to. Because,, he's not a good person, he loves his mom a lot and doesnt want her to hate him, but, he's not a bad person either, he never attacks first or set out to do any harm.
I think, as a parent, you should treat a child like a human, who is capable of doing good or bad things. They have a loving relationship that I absolutely ADORE, but he's hiding himself, and it's a shame that she hasn't provided an environment where he could express all the multilayered facets of his character and she'll love him unconditionally.
I think that the sweet innocent angle is the only Ein she really knows so if you think that a person is naturally kind and sweet then when they’re not that your naturally gonna think something is wrong. I also don’t think that Roselia would expect that level of manipulation from a child. I think she just naturally treats Ein like he’s a good person that she treasures because she does and that Ein feels the need to reciprocate such an attitude to keep receiving the attention he’s been getting not understanding that she would treat him the same regardless.

Ein has been growing up with so much mistreatment and neglect, it just aches my heart that he thinks he has to perform for her, when we all know that she'll love him regardless. I just hope she can be more openminded of him, and he'll be more honest with her. I'm scared that when she does find out that he can be vindictive she'll be shocked. But you're right.
I agree even if she wants to prevent him from turning into a villian she cant just think this child is a complete angel....all kids are little devils inside
They were more enjoyable when they didn't do this back and forth, jealousy, testing and putting xiaobei in uncomfortable/dangerous situations. I'm not saying that I wished they stayed as friends, but that bickering dynamic; smart one doting on the oblivious dumb one was cute.
It would have been more enjoyable if they progressed from close companions to recognizing that they can't live without each other. It would've been more fun to watch purple hair trying to get in between them but keeps being deflected by the genuine way they prioritize each other. Like, xiaobei would notice that fengyu was getting dejected (because fengyu's smart enough to realize that the purple homewrecker is trying to get between them), and xiaobei would instantly dismiss purple hair to go comfort fengyu, all the while being adorably oblivious to his own feelings and to why he'd drop everything when it comes to fengyu.

I don't understand how ch126 could be realistic. Was qianyue drugged as well? How could he forget that he was in an important place and that she was the daughter of an important comrad? Your important comrad is only a few steps away... how could this rationally happen?
Too many of these asian webcomics normalize the concept that as long as the woman is drugged, even if the man is sober he's not going to have any control and will rape her. It makes no sense for the manipulative, conniving qianyue to do something that wouldn't profit him, especially if he's sober and rational.

well he isn't sober per say, as mentioned the incense when burned acts as an aphrodisiac. however it doesn't make sense that he didn't recognize her. we do know that he has slept with other women before so he probably treated this like any other.
in a sense it was useful to him..? i dont know just to get off, but it's not realistic as you said. the point was to make him more of the antagonist and to illustrate a way to make sure his downfall is imminent.
