Gosh, I really wanna drop this but I really got attached to the FL (ToT). Especially in the beginning where it was about dancing, singing and trying to survive in the world of entertainment with the heavy heart of her past life lingering. She was so intelligent, talented and self-sufficient; a very rootable character, but after a while, anything not related to her arts, the story goes EXTREME and sets up obstacles she really cannot win. I thought that this story was gonna show us how she breaks off everything related to the boss villain and slowly fade out that traumatic part of her life. But nooOo, we get her being bulied by the ML's mafia-esque FAMILY.
I understand being critical of your children's partner's but damn, who in their right mind would think that dropping her in a REALLY deep hole covered in blood is a rite of passage? How rich do you have to be to think that's okay? Why does every antagonist have to be fucked up in the head? I at least understand the ML's half brother's intent (he's simply put: crazy, from having no one loving him during childhood). But for little kids to set up dumping an innocent women in a hole... WHAT WAS THE REASON!?
When she goes to meet them, I thought this was gonna be how she proves herself to be the right partner for ML through her impeccable arts, or her ability to be domineering, quick-witted and cunning. But they decide to write her having a VERY SEVERE mental breakdown/ptsd episode.
All this wouldn't happened if the ML just respected her original decision to not have a relationship. What so wrong with waiting? You were the one that was pestering her, you entitled brat! He's not all bad, he's really sweet and treats her better than the boss villain, BUT HE SHARES TOO MUCH TOXIC TRAITS WITH THE BOSS VILLAIN. Of course he doesn't chain her up or anything, BUT HE MIGHT AS WELL WITH HOW OBSESSIVE HE IS OF HER. I can't even properly remember why he started liking her in the first place, or why he continued to like her.
SHE! WAS! NOT! INTERESTED!
Just like the villain, the ML is too obsessive when it comes to her leaving him. It really is none of his business, and he never respects that. When she first started tolerating/liking him a bit more it was so guilt tripping. She was upset at him because he was prying into her business, he pulls the "you're staying at my place, you can't ask me to leave" (she is a tenant, she has every right to ask her landlord to leave), she decides "okay, I'll leave then" then he cries and kisses her. I was so angry, even more so when this chapter was following the scene where the boss villain was visiting her past life's grave and admitted that he did horrible thing to her because he was afraid of her leaving him. LIKE, WHAT IS this story trying to tell the audience when you pace it like that(#>_<).
And he asks too much questions about her personal life. YOU'RE NOT ENTITLED TO HER ANSWERS! STOP THROWING A TANTRUM WHEN SHE DOESN'T WANT TO TELL YOU! He is too dramatic.
There's too many arcs happening at the same time, it really makes my head hurts. And to think that there's even more worse things to come from what I heard from spoilers.

I'm confused? Maybe I missed something... idk. Why is it that she absolutely HAS to run away? If it's because her brother challenges her as a better heir, and that breaks out into a deathly power struggle (?), then why can't she simply step down when the time comes for that? She's a part of a duke household, and her family dotes on her, they'll take care of her. I dont understaand.

She doesnt know that she has healing abilities. What she does know is that she can foresee the future and that is where she saw the future where someone told her that she has no magic and she cant be a heir to their household or she cant be a sword for the royal family's successor.
That is why she's trying to run away so that no more conflict will arise after finding out she cant be an heir or sword when the said time.

Ppl keep saying that she didn't consent... the first meeting was a bit uncomfortable to read, and he was being unnecessarily pushy. But she did consent, they both came to a mutual agreement, matter of fact, she proposed it; it was something about accepting her as both a wife and a 'lover' in bed. He treated her roughly the first time but there was still mutual consent regardless if it was shitty.
As a reader, I started off disliking him, yet I didn't even realize when he slowly became a lovable character. His redemption was so smoothe, and I fell in love with the way he fell in love with edna.
Edna is a strong and intelligent character, she's not a push over nor is she weak in any way. It felt natural when she forgave him because we knew she was strong enough to. Unlike some 'strOnG fEMale prOTagOnist' stories that end up being with their actually horrid abusers, whom the story finds a way to make look pitiful, or that it wasn't their fault. (I'm looking at you the abandoned empress, lady to queen etc.) All shade aside, they didn't try to make a sad backstory, or some over the top brainwashing to blame his terrible behaviour. He regretted with his whole chest, and apologized without blaming anyone else but himself.
This story is 100% worth it.

Totally agree with this.. i think that we also need to consider the manga’s setting.. it was at a time of where edna’s mother needs to hide the fact that edna is a girl.. cause maybe at that time it was when girls are looked down and don’t really have that much of equal right.. eli even felt sorry for the first time that he was rough.. after that eli did try his best to treat edna as gentle as he can.. edna seems to not mind and all the more fall in love.. they have their first circumstance but the time they are together whats made then fall for one another.. tho however they say that this is rape.. and some may have been triggered.. then those who aren’t comfortable with it can just not read it..

I know right! I think this too! There's a lot of context to consider, and though they may be uncomfortable for us who live in the modern day, these things just help reinforce what period the story is set in. A time where it was easier to live as a man. As readers we won't like it, so the author makes sure that the ML has to redeem himself and become a likable, forgivable character.

I don't know if it's just me but I really like how all the 'targets' isn't obsessed with our mc, unlike the original story where everyone falls in love with the heroine, and she has to pick one.
I feel like I'm the only one that appreciates the fact that Naska is interested in humanity and not the stereotypical "I like the mc, and only the mc". I really like arth and sasha together~ i was shipping her with either him or rebecca because those two really care for her.
The translations aren't so bad once you become accustomed.
The only issue I have is that I don't think I can bring myself to like the ML. The story is heading in the direction of the FL falling for him again, even though he's not doing anything special. He was a terrible person in her past life and he wasn't planning on changing in this life. All he did was take off his clothes in this life and she was like "what's this♡*°? What are these feelings☆•°⁄(⁄ ⁄·⁄ω⁄·⁄ ⁄)⁄ ?"
This man happily killed YOUR UNBORN CHILD, framed you without any strong evidence, made your life living hell and cruelly joined other people in insulting you. He hated you, but he married you so he can torture you and send you to your death. He married you to replace his dead lover, your late sister. The man is despicable.
I am sick and tired of the "my lover tortured, betrayed and killed me, but I'll get my revenge since I've reborn... what's this? ...I still love him. We live happily ever after♡. The End." I am looking at you too: The Abandoned Empress, Lady to Queen, etc.
Wait he killed the unborn baby? I thought the purple haired bitch killed the unborn baby
He and that bitch basically led the "kill the 'unfaithful bitch's' unborn child" campaign. Obviously it was what the purple haired bitch wanted, but i believe he still played a role
Maybe i was too harsh saying "killed", but i do believe he played a part in the death of his own child. Like rejecting her and it and gleefully mocking her for "how
" she had "his" child if he had a "vasectomy". He clearly hated her in his past life but... if you hate someone.. dont fuck them. Simple.
