Honestly feel bad for cassel. In his perspective, one day his fiance started avoiding him. It's all angela's fault, when she saw the prince she cast cassel aside, but both the prince and cassel were still drugged to her.
Oh well, there's a plethora of other webtoons where the ML successfully uses the excuse of being brainwashed. So I like that this is something new. It shows that FL's trauma is real and valid.

I really love and try to find stories where ogFL is not a bitch but there's always the one same gripe I have when i find them. I can already tell that a character cant simply exist without liking the newFL soooo much. When all the MLs shift from liking the "og"FL to liking newFL, then it's basically "og"story in the first place. There's always gonna be a petML or a wizardML or princeML, and they ALL still have to like newFL/the OnlyFL, like can there ever be a story where at least one of the MLs still only like the ogFL. Even when the father that shift from adoring his one n only daughter, ogFL, to adoring his one n only daughter, newFL, it paints the picture that there's only a finite amount of love to give. Can there ever be a distinct place for both heroines? Can a father grow from loving one daughter, to loving All his kids? Does the heroine need All the MLs first love? Can sisters not be treated like their position will be threatened if there's not a very clear n obvious bias?
Will still read it for entertainment tho but I really think these types of stories could benefit by making the characters.. actually characters, instead of mere decoration for the FL's life. It would make it stand out from the rest who are using the same formula over and over.
There's healing in well-placed and well deserved justice. You don't have to reconcile with your abusers, simply because their family.
This isn't a case of cutting off toxic people because of manipulation/narcissism/unacceptance/homophobia/neglect/etc. This is a case of, when being confronted with the possibility that her boyfriend is taking his sexual frustrations off on her child, being jealous instead of protective. This is a case of making money off her child being r*ped by her own clients. Even if she doesn't like him because she was her own child, the fact that he was so young...
One of the things I liked about her was understanding how she came to be and to how she took what actions she took (r&ped by a criminal, abandoned, young), but I always assumed that in no way makes her actions excusable. At all. I assumed that she wouldn't be rewarded.
The only reason why she wanted to reconcile with momo, why she wanted the physically symbolic ring of his, once upon a time, want to be a son to her, and, now, reconciliation, is so that She Can Feel Better About Herself when she leaves him behind to start a better, new life with her new family. (And she admits so!!)
The only thing I hated about this is that they rewarded her.
Cutting her off is good for momo, but her selfishly returning to make herself feel good before she leaves wasn't something that brought momo closure, it dug up painful childhood memories of being r*ped so horribly he thought he'd die, in Her Presence. They should've reinforced in momo first of all that he doesn't have to ever forgive her, or make her feel better by ending their relationship on a good note, if He Doesn't Want To.
Everyone (author, characters, even momo) for some reason wanted to unanimously validate her, decided to be indulgent of her. For what?

I love this so muchh! I honestly think that this one is lining up to be among the best of reincarnation&revenge stories. The antagonists although arrogant, aren't overestimating airheads, but triple checks and even gives our heroine setbacks. FL constantly has to access and adapt. And romantic relationship development isn't just given only to the FL & ML, it's also side characters and antagonist. Byatt/Viat relationship with that other guardian makes her so 3dimensional, she likes him and can find real joy with him but puts her hate for sister & being the head of the family above him. Compelling villains really makes this story, as well as the mystery around the kingdom. It leaves me excited, wondering what's gonna happen next, how are they gonna solve this, what would the HEA look like? They'd have to demolish the whole guardian stone systems and rework the royal family, ML needs to return to his family (he was "noble" since being an orphan cuz He Is An Outlander/Stranger Noble), investigate her parents death, survive her assassination in ~2 years, keep up the act with her ex fiance, control her powers... there's just always something that keeps you on your toess!
