I already kinda call it that Yashiro gonna ditch Doumeki when he found out that he fall in love with him. The reason maybe to protect Doumeki for getting even more involve but its probably just one of many reason. I think the main reason why he left Doumeki is because his entire persona that he have right know is not compatible for love relationship. Yashiro made this persona of loose bitch that fuck anybody and masochist guy that like pain probably back in his teen (and probably the persona more solidify after he have his first heart break with his first crush, Kageyama). He always insist himself that he like pain and love is not for him. This persona definitely came from his childhood trauma of him being raped by his step dad and a way for Yashiro to run away from that event.
That why Nanahara say that Yashiro always ditch any of his man that he have sex the moment they start to fall in love with him. Doumeki fall in love with him mean that he will take care and protect Yashiro with care now. But Yashiro persona is not made to be care by other people. He made that persona so other people could treat him like trash and cum dumpster then act like he enjoy it in which in turn justify his rape by his step dad as something that not terrible as he actually enjoy the rape.
He know if he have sex with Doumeki in normal way and then stay with him longer, then the entire persona of him would be shattered. He will remember again that he actually not masochist. He just insist that he the one. He dont like pain. He just act like he was. And then he gonna realize. He was once raped as kid and he really hates it. Its definitely not easy for Yashiro to just fall in love with Doumeki and live like normal couple as that would also mean admit that he himself is telling a lie to himself for probably 20 year of his life.

If my intuition is right about this story then Hirata is once the bird who cant fly to Misumi (When he goes outside Misumi wife apartement there is bird sound accompany him) so does Doumeki is the bird who cant fly to Yashiro. Hirata definitely obsess with Misumi since he save his butt from his former boss but Misumi never sufficiently return his obsession back because at that moment there is someone else that Misumi consider more important. That moment Kurobane say that there is moment when there nothing that price higher if is for the sake of that guy (Misumi), Hirata lose it and impulsively stab him in what i can guess a desire to take his place as Misumi right hand.
Back to present time, the whole war happen because Misumi choose to promote Yasahiro over him to be come Wakagashira of the main family (Even though Yashiro is recultant just like Kurobane many year ago) instead him because Misumi see Kurobane in Yashiro (Its like Kurobane ghost came back to hound him in form of Yashiro). There is many similarity between Yashiro and Kurobane that even the Oyabun of the main family itself have noticed and tell Misumi about it when he came to visit. Lack of family member, Strangely attach to Misumi, More loyal to Misumi then to the group, Lack of ambitionis is all the trait that both Kurobane and Yashiro have.
Then if the writer gonna made the story with History repeat itself style, then we know Hirata is Ginyukai group (Group that once try to kill Misumi) of this story and we know Doumeki is young Hirata of this story because he also has been attached to Yashiro in dangerous way after he employ him just like Hirata to Misumi just after Misumi employ him. The only question is, who gonna be Kurobane? Its even more apparent after Yashiro left Doumeki in choose of his family (He say to Ryuzaki that he not gonna quit even though he know he should). I kinda get vibe this story gonna end in tragedy.

I wonder what Yuneko (Wada wife) would react when she found out that his husband is Hashimoto high school crush (Fujoshi mode turn on?). And i think there is some kind mistranslation here. As far as i remember, Chicho-chan is Wada niece. That why she dont like it when he came instead her mom at parent-student day and she call him her uncle at Chapter 9. But why she call Wada wife Mom? (But i also confuse, because in Chapter 10, Wada say that her wife has gotten divorced one and she bring this child together with her while pointing his finger at Chicho-chan. So i don't really know which part is wrong). If somebody have read the raw, can you confirm which one is right?

But Wada is not ordinary older people. He is her step father. I know asian call all older people related or not uncle or auntie because i am asian but not on our parent (even if they are our step parent). And usually they also never does that in manga that involve step parent. If they dont call them otosan (dad), they call them oyaji (old man), and usually done only if the character dont really get along with their parent, but uncle? That why this translation confuse me.

Hey there, translator here. Wada is indeed Chiho's step dad. She calls him Ojisan in the Japanese which can mean uncle or just older man in general. I think it can be inferred that Chiho didn't want Wada to become her step-dad which is why she refuses to acknowledge it by calling him what you would call an older person on the street. I hope that clears it up a bit.

I personally think translating it as "old man" would deprive the word the detachment Chiho's feeling towards Wada, because "old man" is still an endearing familial term. As someone who have a step mother that I'm not fond of, who I still call "auntie", I think "uncle" or maybe the plain "ojiisan" would be more befitting, especially if this will become an important plot point in the future!

But for asian, calling your parent something else from dad or mom is kinda like an insult (Step or not). Uncle made it kinda confusing, because like i say, it can mean real uncle or not. Oldman in my opinion still better. A lot of anime character that have rough relationship with their parent call them old man or old hag (For mother). But probably keeping up with Ojisan as word is better in translating the series. They (The translator) usually keep the japanese word for familial or relationship term in Japanese as different word even though translate to english roughly same can have different meaning and connotation in japanese (Like Aniki and Nii-san)

I want to say this for a while but Yatamomo is really really good Yaoi manga. It has the hot sex, good comedy, interisting cast of character, balance drama, and great moral message at the end of Vol 2. I like all the character in the series. Harada dont try to hard to villainize anybody just for the sake of drama. Every character shown with their own moment of redemption, even Suda and Momo mother. Which is the point of the series i think which is to forgive. Like that dick less old man say, you are not yet a true gentlemen until you manage to forgive people that do wrong to you in past and make peace with your past. If he can forgive his wife that cut his dick and laugh at the story, then you can too.

I dont know what kind of drug that Asada Nemui have when he wrote this story especially the second one (Like story about talking plant?!), but i am confident that it was good drug seeing how good the story turn out to be (Whole the time, i reading this manga i just want to know how he gonna finish the story which start on weird premise. Not disappointed)

After reading My God and Talking Flower and left amused by the story premised and execution, once again, i read his work and left amused too. I like how Asada Nemui try to potray his character in more realistic ground in each of his manga. They have their bad side and good side and not some perfect husbando that some BL manga try to portray (From Cliff to Mickey to Shiro and Joe). They feel like real human being with their own flaw and gritty personality. And i always wonder where the hell he got all this fresh and original idea, like a talking flower, priest investigating a cult or a guy who got dragged into prostitution because his debt.

And award for best mom of this month goes too: Yumeno and Mishima Mom!!!!
*And also please, dont put the update for the manga too long. I know that the manga already finish since long time ago, so i am really appreciate if the translator update the ending as soon as possible. Btw, thank for your hard work, whoever translate this masterpiece manga.
I always think that this manga is more than just your ordinary Yaoi. Sure Umibe No Etranger is Yaoi but its sequel is more of family drama than just Yaoi. Its incorporate something that a lot of Yaoi ignore in pursuit of more focus on main couple which is existance of family and close friend of the couple. All side character of the series develop well enough to made them feel more as part of story then just a mere cameo. Its story focus still on Mio and Shun relationship but its also story of Shun parent and their relationship with their long lost eldest son. Its also story about Sakurako and how she feel after being left on altar by her fiance and also story of Wada and his relation with his former high school classmate. And this manga is also story about Fumi and how he feel to not being blood related to Hashimot family despite baring their name in his own. The next volume of the series seem even gonna put more focus on Fumi puberty stage. Harukaze No Etranger is definitely not just story of two men who love each other despite what society think. Its also story about people around them and how they effect their everday live. And Chapter 12 which is probably last of volume 2 is show us perfectly what this people mean to both Shun and Mio.
WOOPS I MEANT TO LIKE IT
Hahaha dont worry, sometimes i missed click.
