I believe that what tengoku do with the students were "power" play, like a type of play without touching their genitals. I was not prepared to learn that he's a dom but how his character was written, it is very accurate. I kind of believe that the author is a Dom or have been with a dom cos like it's VERYYY ACCURATE it gives me chills. What he did with his students were borderline grooming but we can see at the beginning how he put boundaries with them, JUST LIKE A TRUE FUCKING DOM. I think it's really not his intentions to cross any cautions with the students, it's really helpful to have this kind of play because it can transform your perspective about yourself, just like the student we saw at the beginning. The transitions of settings were all over the place, the jumping to hell and getting back to human world was rushed. Though it was a nice story, should've added at least a little action,they made it look too easy. Plus, their lack of personalities made it more boring.

It was never stated that they died together. It was strongly implied whit the explosion reaction to the earthquake and the whole coalmining business. The reaction to walking in basement of the shrine and them not being able to see each other because it was dark at the end probably means the mine exploded or collapsed and the two of them died.
