so we now know that tsukasa sacrificed himself to save amane, so i thought, who was the tsukasa we see at school and the one amane killed? why is amane so afraid of him? now my theory is that (like mitsuba and kou's mom) the later tsukasa is a manifestation created by the red house, which is why it was abusive and basically inhuman towards amane. tsuchigomori never suspected amane's younger brother was the one abusing him so either the fake tsukasa is trapped in the house and no one in school at the time knew about him, or tsukasa was allowed to roam free and tsuchigomori just didn't think about it.

i don't normally laugh while reading manga because i don't find the humor particularly funny. but i physically WHEEZED when matsuki rejected take. in all seriousness, though that was honestly the best way for this manga to end. i'm all for that gay shit (check my reading list if you don't believe me) but there wasn't any romantic chemistry between the two of them. sure, it's believable that take had a crush on matsuki, but not that they'd end up dating. i also really enjoyed how the characters were allowed to be queer without being paired off in the end. (this is all just my personal opinion and i'm sorry to all the people whose ships didn't sail.)

the closest i've come to a shounen anime with non-comedic gay characters is promare and sarazanmai. but the only sports anime that went beyond subtext is prolly sk8 (all of these anime i HIGHLY recommend btw)
