Funny how people here are blaming chowoon saying he is arrogant because a beta snatched his man. In the real life, many women are like this too. That thought of how can that kind of woman get my husband's or boyfriend's love more than I do. Then jealousy and insecurity enters. You start asking if it is because you are ugly or not enough. But you try to be the best for him,then why exactly is he now in love with someone else's that isn't up to your standard. It happens, those thoughts will creep in you can't deny it. Some people allow the jealousy to drown them and do something that will put them in trouble while some people just accepts that the man isn't worth it and move on.....

I dislike dojun now after reading this chapter...... He could have done better I swear.... It's just so annoying how everyone is blaming chowoon and not realising the damage dojun caused.....

Yeah, but what he said is this: "It's just so annoying how everyone is blaming chowoon and not realising the damage dojun caused"
When rape/attempted rape is done on an innocent 3rd party out of anger towards the person who actually hurt him, most people realize that's wrong and dislike the one who did it, regardless of their trauma.
Plus, we didn't really see what all happened with Dojun, just glimpses, but we did see Chowon try to have Heeso gang-raped in detail and be rude about Byul. Which makes it harder to sympathize with the character.

im confused... serious? dojun do what better? i think he handled everything chowon did to him and heesoo great! chowon is the one who should have done better and im not going to say otherwise just because he overdosed. dojun literally did almost nothing to chowon but officially break their relationship again just as chowon did when he divorced him. why should dowon be merciful to someone he’s divorced from and kidnapped his lover? but he was. chowon caused that “damage” himself. and then he began to hurt kyungsoo. did you forget all that shit he told kyungsoo in the park? they blame him for the heesoo thing because that was his fault. they can blame him for overdosing because dojun has no part in how many pills he takes. chowon developed that after dowon said i want nothing to do with you. not before. whenever someone overdoses or try to kill themselves they’re automatically the victim. dojun has literally done nothing to chowon and im confused as to how you cant see that...

- trauma is different from mental illness. -
and you just brought up one of my points, we didn’t see all that happened <only glimpses>. if we only saw glimpses and we already new it was a one sided relationship then imagine how it was for years in his point of view.
idrc about the baby lmfao all he did was wipe his hand..

Do you understand that mental torture of living with someone you are married to. And they never sleep at home or even interact with you. And for alpha and omega relationship, the alpha needs to release his pheromones for the omega to feel secure and be stable. I am not talking about what chowoon did after. I am talking about what dojun did before. Imagine being in a marriage with no talk, no sex no eating together, no lovey dovey moment. You are just there in the marriage alone. Dojun knows he doesn't love chowoon, why did he get married to him. After the marriage, when he knows he is uncomfortable with him. He should have just ended it earlier and not pretend like chowoon didn't exist. Imagine Chowoon living in a house alone, waiting for the husband to come but he doesn't show up and when he does, he probably goes to sleep without uttering anything. I don't know about you but I think it is enough for someone to go crazy and lose their minds. Especially if they have little mental capacity. Jealousy is a very strong emotion.... It can ruin people if they aren't careful....

It was more his whole attitude. Coming in, clearing glancing at and ignoring Heeso, Hye-sung and Byul, acting all friendly towards the parents, and when introduced to Hye-sung and Byul he was friendly to them in front of the parents. However he wiped his hand off immediately after their backs were tuned and flipped away, clearly ignoring them again. Very two-faced, manipulative attitude and that's a turn off for most people.
I'm not saying Dojun is completely innocent, but the things Chowon did were worse than what Dojun did and then he never even admitted he made a mistake. When confronted, he declared that Heeso got what he deserved for touching what's his. No remorse. Why can't I blame him again?

Isis had the chance to tell the other gods what osiris did to both nephthys and seth but she didn't. Because she knows osiris doesn't care about honor and power, he just wanted seth. So she told ra to destroy seth as seth's punishment but ra decided against destroying him but letting him serve his punishment on her boat right? Since everyone is like isis suffered blah blah, why would she prefer to destroy seth instead of just telling everyone one what osiris did and make him serve his punishment.

I think it would be because Isis was betrayed not once but twice by Osiris and it greatly affected her devotion and honor too. If she were to seek help from the other gods she would either be a) laughing stock b) the other gods would be given chance to twist anything that happened or c) Osiris would eventually find out and get more twisted with his obsession with seth.
Seth currently is still the ruler of Egypt so I think that she needs to destroy Seth since he is much more powerful, he is the god of war afterall and I think she also needs the judgement of the sun god herself (tho she's enjoying the competition rather than seriously evaluate)
But I'm still very confused by her way of thinking tho. It's all just ny theory. I could be wrong too.
Personally I think that her curse was likely the best revenge on all of them. Preventing whatever they desire away from their grasp.

"why would she prefer to destroy seth instead of just telling everyone one what osiris did and make him serve his punishment."
Isis knows if the other gods punish Seth they will most likely punish him with death, thus sending him to Duat, and to Osiris. And that's exactly what Osiris wants. Destroying Seth is the only way to guarantee Osiris would never be able to get what he wants. Awful way of thinking, yes, but Isis still messed up her own chances of succeeding from the very beginning, when she cursed herself. The god Thot even told her that the curse she put on herself is the very reason all her worst attempts at revenge never succeed. And, even when she's trying to do something "mean," she always does it half-heartedly and ends up having to give up in the end. It's like she had known in advance that she would become this irrational, and thus had put this curse on herself in order to put a bind on herself in advance, to prevent herself from *really* causing any harm. Even the curse on Seth was actually doing him a favor, if you ask me, considering that family was just a creation by Osiris in order to be able to manipulate him, and considering the fact that Neftys claimed she'd never really loved Seth. That's why, to me, Isis is at best all bark and no bite: even after all she's been trough, she can't bring herself to *really* harm anybody. She always ends up reconsidering, in the end, That's why I like her so much.
As for Osiris, the other gods wouldn't be able to make Osiris serve his punishment (if that's what you're wondering) because Osiris being in Duat means he's now out of their reach (one of them said this once they found out about him impregnating Seth's wife).
Anyway, that's just my two cents.

Sorry to jump in on the conversation but could you pls help me out with this?
I was under the impression that Osiris’ death came after the rape incident because it’s obvious that prior to the rape, the two families lived in harmony+horus hadn’t been born yet. So if he wasn’t dead at that time that means he wasn’t lording over the Duat and if he wasn’t doing that, then the other gods could’ve punished him right? Or do I have the events wrong? The plot’s been fairly easy to understand despite the complexity but I’m having trouble reconciling Seth’s ascension with his rape like idk which event happened when..
Thank you so much in advance if you get the chance to reply to this ヾ(❀╹◡╹)ノ~

Yes, Osiris' death came *right after* he raped Seth.
The sequence of events goes more or less like this:
1) Osiris, the unbeatable god that can't be killed (unless he himself wishes it) overthrows Ra and becomes the new king of Egypt, taking his wife Isis and his two other siblings, Seth and Neftys, along to live and rule with him;
2) Osiris secretly covers Egypt with sand in order to bring the desert (and Seth) closer to himself (Ra is probably one of the very few who sees right through this, but bides her time to do something about it because Osiris is still currently, well, unbeatable);
3) Osiris encourages Seth to marry Neftys as a way to make him stay in Egypt (near himself) for longer periods of time;
4) Someone traps Neftys in the mirror before or after Osiris impregnates Seth's wife with Anubis;
5) Sekhmet reveals to Seth that Anubis is not his biological son, but Osiris';
6) Seth's wife breaks down and admits that Osiris is Anubis' real father, first to Seth, and then to Osiris' wife Isis;
7) Seth goes to confront Osiris about him getting Seth's own wife pregnant;
8) Osiris manages to blackmail Seth and rape him, then falls deeply asleep (this f**er...);
9) Sekhmet appears to Seth while Osiris is still asleep, and advises him to chop Osiris into pieces and throw him into the Nile river, then Sekhmet leaves;
10) Seth chops the still sleeping Osiris into several body parts;
11) Osiris wakes up to find himself chopped in several body parts, and starts to "regenerate" (as he can't die unless he himself agrees to it);
12) Seth outwits Osiris and manages to trick him into agreeing to his own death, thus Osiris dies and gets trapped in Duat (we will see this in a flshback in just a couple more chapters);
13) With Osiris trapped in Duat, Seth declares himself the new king of Egypt and starts his reign of terror, tormeting Osiris' widow, Isis, nonstop;
14) Seth's repentant wife helps Isis escape from Seth's grasp;
15) The fleeing Isis goes to the Nile, recovers Osiris' body parts and manages to revive him for a little while, long enough to get herself pregnant with Horus, after which Osiris is forced to return to Duat;
16) Anubis quarrels with Seth and tries to kill himself, ending up in Duat and meeting Osiris, who manages to send Anubis back to the world of the living;
17) Little Horus decides to go see the infamous Seth with his own eyes, he manages to meet Seth without Seth realizing who Horus really is;
18) Horus' and Anubis' physical growths get affected by a mysterious curse; though Horus manages to find out what the curse is, and manages to become an adult, neither he nor Anubis are able to become "real" gods;
19) Isis starts her plans to overthrow Seth: she gets the other gods to bless Horus with a bit of their own powers, and makes a deal with a Greek god in order to have a "plan B" in case Horus loses against Seth;
20) The story begins.

Thank you so much! You are god sent (●'◡'●)ノ I finally get what’s happening(≧∀≦) And yess our man Seth’s the real deal here ヾ(☆▽☆) it’s a shame that his life has come to this point I sort of wonder why he became so cruel..I mean sure he just got betrayed in the worst ways possible by the 3 ppl he loved the most so that probably messed with his head + whatever Sekhmet whispered to him likely made him even worse ( ̄∇ ̄") I just can’t help but imagine what it’d be like if he was a benevolent ruler Isis’ plans would’ve been fucked
I hope we have more glimpses into Isis’ mind too, her curse seems to have been counterproductive for everyone involved and currently she’s the secondary villain but for some reason she’s hard to hate ( ̄∇ ̄") She’s a victim too afterall ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
Anyway, thanks for taking the time to reply so elaborately! I hope you have a great day

You're welcome.
BTW, it was also Osiris, and not Sekhmet, who whispered things to Seth (right before dying) that made Seth upset enough to become this cruel. He basically said things to Seth that planted seeds of doubt in him and started destroying him from the inside, destroying his belief that Neftys had ever loved him and his self-confidence as a god, in order to weaken his power. Seth's cruelty is just a "touch act" to overcompensate... and the fact that he fell for such an obvious trick is exactly why he's not qualified to be king, as he's proven he's not mentally strong enough to be the king of Egypt. This is why he had to be replaced sooner or later with someone who did have the mental strength for the job, and that is why Horus, despite not being a full god yet, is a hundred times more qualified (I mean, the kid was even born with a lie-detector incorporated in his brain, he was practically born for the job)

I have a question though. If Neftys never really loved Seth, which I'm guessing its because shes a fake and all, but if she never really loved him. Why go so far to make a sketchy deal with Osiris just because Seth wanted a kid? If I didn't love a guy, I sure as heck wont agree to have another guys kid just to make him happy. She didn't even tell him for so long because she wanted him to be happy and believe it's his kid and the fruit of their love. I mean, she went as far as to want to kill herself in regret for carrying an assholes child and giving him exactly what he wanted.
(also I kinda ship them because THEY WERE A VERY MENTALLY HEALTHY SHIP, which I find so rare in this story, BEFORE THAT ASSHOLE OSIRIS MADE A DEAL WITH HER AND FUCKED EM BOTH UP. And its obvious that Seth loves her because the final nail in the coffin in doubting himself was the part where Osiris said that she wanted him and not Seth. Also adding the fact that Seth was jealous af when he found out Osiris couldve screwed her and only calmed down when Osiris explained that it was because she did it for him. I'm just so sad, they were a very happy family. Also, I absolutely agree with everything you said about Isis. I honestly thought that out of her pure hatred for Seth, she wouldn't help Anubis but I was so touched that even though it's the kid of the guy that made her suffer so much, she still helped heal him after cut his arm off.)

The thing is, it wasn't just any other guy that Neftys chose to have a kid with, it was the guy she claimed she had always been secretly inlove with, but that she couldn't have since the guy was already married: Osiris.
If it was just to make Seth happy, she could have arguably asked any other male god to secretly get her pregnant, or refused to get pregnant just to please Seth, altogether. But from what she said at the end of season 1, the reason she did look for a way to get pregnant and chose Osiris to be the father is because she wanted to have a piece of the guy she had always loved and regreted that she could never have. To be fair, there is a possibility that the Neftys that went to testify at the trial at the end of season 1 was just lying in order to get the other gods to pity Seth and thus persuade them to forgive his crimes, but we'll have to wait for season 2 in order to know that for sure.
Another thing is, we don't know if Neftys regrets having chosen a man like Osiris as the father of her child, because we still don't know for certain how much either of the two Neftys knows about everything that Osiris did, though. There has been no indication that either of the two knows about Seth being raped and about Anubis used as a puppet by Osiris. That would probably make the Neftys out of the mirror the most annoying as the least observant and most gullible character in the entire story, but it's still a possibility.
(It still doesn't change my opinion of her due to the fact that she DID know the reason why Anubis couldn't grow up or become a god, and she never bothered to tell him even though it was the one way to stop most of the poor kid's suffering)
As for the Neftys inside the mirror, she doesn't seem to have been in that kind of relationship with Seth before she was trapped in the mirror, as she told Horus that she saw a fake copy of herself loving Seth. That makes it possible that the Neftys in the mirror didn't love Seth either, but what's more important is that it may even rule this Neftys out as Anubis' mother, since Anubis was born after at least one of the two "Neftys" and Seth had already started a relationship, and even had already spent a long time married to each other. Which means, it's quite possible that only the Neftys outside the mirror could be Anubis' mother, and that the Neftys in the mirror has nothing to do with Seth altogether.

Thank you so much for answering my question. It really cleared up a lot of things for me! ^-^ though, I have two last ones though. As you've said, we dont really know if Nefty regrets having a man like Osiris implant her or if either Neftys knew about his fucked up stuff. But, why then did she beg to die so badly if she never knew how messed up he was? Cuz I was honestly confused why she wanted to die so much which led me to the conclusion that it must be because she went off and had a baby with Osiris who was essentially a jerk which is why isis told her 'yeah, regret what you did. No dying. Just you suffering in consequences'. Which made me go, 'Regret what? The fact that she had a baby with your husband? The fact that hes a jerk that covets your husband?' Also, didnt Nefty specifically needed Osiris cuz he the life god?

No, Neftys didn't need Osiris because he's the life god. She only needed a guy other than Seth to get her pregnant with a baby, because Seth was the one who couldn't give her a baby (though Seth didn't know it). Neftys could have gotten pregnant by any other male god because she herself had never had any problem that would have prevented her from having a baby. Neftys was always able to have children and it was Seth the one that couldn't have them.
And Neftys begged to die because she knew what she did was pretty horrible and normal people would shun her for it if they knew. This is because she not only got pregnant by another guy, but made her husband raise the kid making him think the kid was his, all while the real father was living right beside them! It's one thing to get pregnant by some guy your husband doesn't even know, but getting pregnant by the guy right next door, so to speak, and keep that a secret for years, while your husband becomes best friends with the same guy next door, has barbecues with him and gets together to watch football with the same guy next door... that is pretty disgusting and offensive to your husband, let alone your kid who sooner or later will realize his real father is the guy next door... ew.

Really some people here..... I don't know what to say..... You guys are more worst than those chowon himself...... With your words it shows how narrow minded some of you are and how heartless you are...... Imagine some one saying he is spoiled and born with golden spoon. It is like you don't know what it means to be spoiled by your loved ones. Is the golden spoon helping him in anyway. I bet he prefers having a poor parents that actually loves and care about him....

Everyone here seems to be taking a very sided opinion of "help Chowon he is suffering" or "screw Chowon he hurt others." I'm team BOTH. He deserves help and it is sad that he's had to endure all that he has, especially without a support network to help him through it.
That said, mental illness doesn't give him a free pass for trying to get someone raped. That's not okay. At all. He shouldn't just be forgiven for that. He needs to get down in dogeza and APOLOGIZE. He needs to acknowledge his wrongs and face them, and move forward however and as best he can. Get the help he needs.
People need to realize you can stand in the middle of these sides.

Some people on this platform are actually heartless.... How can you say or think he deserves it. Do you think he wanted to do everything he did. He didn't even hurt the first guy, the guy fell over and broke his leg but no one believed him and treated him bad. He has poor Insight and judgement, and that is not his fault. No one loves him, they all treated him like some maniac and abandon him. If you were the one would you be happy....

I totally agree with that!
If it would have happend to yourself and no one believed you most of the people would react the same as he did.
Yes it's kinda weird that he wanted to scare him away but love makes people do things they wouldn't even imagine to do in the right mind.
The possibility of breaking a leg with that fall is so small he couldn't have predicted that.
And personally the two dislikes you got with no explanation is unreasonable!

Unless you are a medical student or doctor. I won't expect you to understand. Do you know how hard they fight themselves. They don't understand what is going on with them and are very confused. They are able to move on and get better with the help of their loved ones, psychotherapy and medication. Imagine not having a supportive family, how do you expect him to cope. Especially during the manic phase.

This is different from other love triangle. Taku had a chance with haesoo. Even slept with him even more than jowoon. Which love triangle have you seen like that where the second lead gets more screen time with the mc than the ML. The author took her time and showed us why he went for jowoon. It will be fruitless for him to end up with taku if he can't love him, you clearly saw that during their trial relationship. If you give the author bad ratings, just because it doesn't end up in your favour. Don't you think it is childish and petty. She can't please everyone..... It is her manhwa and she has every right to do whatever she pleases.

Let us rejoice....... Jowoon Stan........ Looks like the end will be in our favour...... Omg... Now y all are bringing the incest shit. When their parent aren't even married. But you can read other Japanese incest manga. Just say you are upset with the development. Hate all you want....... That is your problem oooo..... Wow..... It is cliche.... Yeah but I love it..... (⌒▽⌒)
This manhwa is not to be taken seriously.... Cain was jooin's dog in the past life..... Like really author.... I will still finish it though.... Maybe yahwi got jooin's love in the past and that made Cain sad. So now he is back with full force to piss off yahwi and win jooin's love... This his third person way of speaking won't allow jooin to know whether he is serious or not. He has to change his strategy...
a lot of people are forgetting the tag comedy and people are taking things to seriously tbh. Though I like how the fandom is teasing Yahwi x Cain- LIKE YEAH THAT IS THE SPIRIT NO NEED TO BE SO SERIOUS ABOUT EVERYTHING IN THIS STORY- THIS IS JUST FOR FLUFFS AND GAGS- ALSO SOME TEARS AND FUSTRATION ┗( T﹏T )┛
