As much as I want to freely say "choose what makes you happy!", I can 100% understand why she's considering the marriage. Her step-family might not personally mind, but their status is too high for a proposal (from royalty, no less!) to be taken lightly. This is not just about her gratitude.
Either way, there ARE gonna be consequences. I hope this smoothens out without much trouble.
WOAH i dont even know where to start with that utterly repulsive, sorry excuse of a crown prince --- compared to MC getting engaged to a guy 9 years her senior (technically), that sh*t's just on a whole 'nother level.
((i'm a bit relieved that there is no real sexual tension between the protags. the age gap still has me s h o o k but at LEAST there's no physical intimacy happening ya know what i mean--- and it seems that there's a hidden reason why the emperor accepted the proposal))
Sometimes, no matter how much you despise your family --- when they truly disappear or abandon you, it will feel like you still lost everything. When you provide for a family who takes your efforts for granted, in the back of your head, you will hold a strange sense of self-gratification since you feel like an actual independent person. I can't quite put it in words but that love-hate relationship with family is a real thing and honestly it's also the most toxic thing ever.
Ikr, me too the same as her no matter how hard I work for them they never ever even think of what I do or did for them. Instead they keep on counting my flaws. i do love them but at the same time I hate them for not even once appreciate what i did. So to keep my love for them continued instead of letting my hates accumulate I choose to live apart from them so that sometimes I will still miss them (=・ω・=)

dobin has a long road ahead of him, with that obviously shady guy HAHAHAAH at least with yeong and nohae the most they had to worry about was their sex maniac tendencies
prayers for soft boi dobin -- his a** wont be the only thing thats gonna get ripped apart i'm sure
