As of now, the crew is at a solid ten members. Each one has an ambition and title: greatest swordsman, greatest navigator, greatest sniper, greatest cook, greatest doctor, greatest archaeologist, greatest shipwright, greatest musician, greatest helmsman, and of course, the Pirate King. What would Carrot and Yamato be? There really aren't any more core roles to be filled. I suppose they could be part of the fighting team, but not sure if their aspirations match those of the PK's crew.
But in the beginning of the story, Luffy said he wanted 10 crewmates to join him. There's forums online discussing what position the new person would have. They currently have a captain, first mate, navigator, cook, doctor, gunner, shipwright, scholar/historian, musician and helmsman. They don't have a lookout or a quartermaster. A lookout makes more sense for the 10th crewmate since the quartermaster is just an extra. I think they should get someone that can fly since they currently dont have good air support.
Do I think Yamato or Carrot will join the crew? No. They've travelled with several people for long periods of time and then not included them in the crew (like Vivi). There's been no hints that Luffy wants to invite either of them.
Makes sense. I guess I feel uncomfortable for another person to join 1000 chapters in. I got used to the current members' dynamic. Imo Jimbei hasn't gotten used to being a Straw Hat yet, so adding another crewmember on top of that.... Hm.
I get you. I honestly feel the same way. There's supposed to be like 4-5 more years left (so 200-300 more chapters). Hopefully Jinbe and whoever joins next (if Oda doesnt change his mind about adding one more person) assimilates into the group before the end. Also, lately the crew is all split apart. There hasn't been many crew bonding chapters since Jinbe joined. It was more like going straight to war. He hasn't really been given a chance to truly become part of the group. He barely even appears.
And all crewmates got their own sob story that led them into joining the crew. Jinbe didn't really get that. He just popped up after being MIA for a while and joined the crew. He didn't get an arc that focused on him like everyone else did. His joining was abrupt

Bellamy kinda fits the mold. He's prob gonna be one of the best dyers out there, making endurable flags. I dont personally want him to join (I don't really like him lol) but he suits the theme of best ___smth___. And he has Luffy's vivre card. ╮(￣▽￣)╭

I've read other BLs with the "hikkomori falls in love" trope, but this one wasn't as wholesome as I had wanted it to be. I think the delivery guy was too aggressive and forceful in trying to get the guy to take his mask off. Would've hoped for a more patient partner.

I was really enjoying this story until Chapter 6. It's a necessary chapter, mind you, and it's clear from the ending that Mikado was able to experience some growth in character. His actions seemed to hurt the seme though in the process and there wasn't any indication that the uke ever apologized or lessened the seme's insecurity.
Jesus. The final season of AOT is here, so I decided to catch up on the manga. I am...speechless, to say the least. Can't believe my past six years being dedicated to this franchise will end with my heart in tatters. I don't care much for how this story will end; no matter what, the sense of loss and desolation will be difficult to fill. Currently 6am -haven't slept a wink and I have a final exam later today- and I am an absolute trainwreck.
