Usually angst like this drags out for at least five chapters, if not the entire length of the series, lol. I'm happy to see Qu Cheng be explicit about his sexuality, saying "I'm not interested in women so I wouldn't have a child." I feel like that kind of statement isn't prevalent in yaoi for some reason. Not that I ever doubted Cheng's love for Peacock, but it eased some of the lingering doubt that creeps up at the back of my fujo mind sometimes.
I usually detest random one-shots that are introduced in the middle of an established plot-line, but the two stories in this manga were super enjoyable. Both of them were interesting and felt complete enough to be called a true one-shot.
In the first volume, the only reason that Kuroi rejected Touma's persistent advances was because he didn't want the person he loved to get involved in dangerous affairs. They've had physical relations for a long time too, despite their occupational differences. Still, I'm hesitant to say Kuroi loves Touma the way Touma loves him -I feel more of a familial love than a passionate one, if anything. Not that subdued love is any more or less than an explicit one, but I do understand Touma's concerns.

Homesis MC is what? At least in her 20s or 30s in terms of mental age right? She's had multiple lives before this one as well. Even in this current incarnation, I thought she was around 10 years old. Why is she so... helpless? The average preteen isn't so gullible and frail. Makes the MC's personality totally unrealistic and unlikable. Hope to see some character development from her soon; she definitely needs it, especially in the middle of a major war. Yikes.

See “Unit 731” for more details if you’re interested, but I implore you to proceed with caution. Very cruel and gruesome details.
