I was really looking forward to seeing darker-skinned characters in this manhwa. This is supposed to be based in the African savannas...? Like... where the sauce at though. The humans would be burnt to a crisp with that light skin tone if this was "irl," lol.
Anyways, surprisingly really enjoyable for a furry story. Almost cried when the musk deer came back out. Wasn't expecting to have feels reading this.
The characters for "YUKIo" and "YOUichi" mean "snow" and "warmth/sunlight" respectively in Japanese. They're truly meant for each other :)

My eyebrows shot up when Ares blushed seeing the FL throwing a fit by a river. Did he want to get stepped on like that twig too or what? That blush confused me like no other lol. Maybe he wants to be dominated by a feisty vixen or sum idk
I prefer Duke Wayton over the crown prince anyday since he seems to genuinely care for the ML, but his facial features are too similar with the ML. The golden rule of yaoi is that two dark-haired or light-haired characters don't end up together lmao

Several red flags in this story:
- This is NOT consensual. Remember, consent is enthusiastic! Being threatened, coerced, or emotionally manipulated into saying yes is NOT CONSENT.
- That "contract" was not based upon any sort of communication, negotiation, nor information. It was the sub's first time with play -let alone sex- and the dom failed to communicate anything about what to expect from the arrangement.
- Sub expressed his discomfort several times about playing outside and being seen and absolutely no accomodations were made. First of all, any and all play should be negotiated beforehand. That aside, dom should constantly check in with the sub to ensure their physical and emotional wellbeing. Not only did he fail to do so, but he deliberately put the sub in situations he did not feel comfortable in.
Many more red flags, but I'm running out of characters. If you're interested in Kink, please, please, PLEASE do your research and make informed decisions. BDSM is fun because you're able to trust your partner to act out your fantasies. It's not sexy without consent and negotiation!
