It says this is the third book in the series. And I did kind of assume it was because of how it started. The first two seem to be untranslated for now so if you like reading by order you should wait for the prequels to cone out. Sighhhhh.....this is why I checked in the mangaka's other work after reading those first few pages, but I should have Googled it. Trust your gut I guesses.
