It's mostly the difference in eras we got into manga that we can't see eye to eye on this. Recently the thinking has shifted so much. Before, fan translations were done until there was an official one out, except for cases in which translation was really far behind and not guaranteed to get to the most recent volumes. As fans wanted to spread the work to people and not harm the creator. The respect for creators has apparently diminished and now many don't care anymore, but I really don't think it can even be called fan translation in cases like this. The sheer disregard and indifference to the creator and their situation disqualifies them as fans. Tho it does seem like it's all the same as we're reading without paying in both cases, the difference and impact is not small.

Don't know why you feel defensive enough to reply, but waiting isn't gonna murder anyone, neither will basic respect for a creator and not stepping over their official releases. I do wonder why you're implying the people on here are all without regard for the ones who create the things they enjoy. I'm not on here guilt tripping people for reading for free but if you don't understand the difference between 'wait for official releases at least' and 'you have no soul for reading illegal' I can't help you.

If not kill, than beat half dead at least. Every part of her life was controlled by Taeri, in the sense that all information she had was manipulated and deemed appropriate to know. She basically lived in a constructed reality, knowing barely anything.
As for the company employing only lesbians, putting behind if she should or should not have noticed, they were all comfortably out -it seems- and all assumed she knew, but Taeri went above and beyond to conceal the fact from her and imply to the employees, or even announce, that the two were dating.
Going from that and into Taeri's battle for the parent company management which she kept secret, knowing it can and must bring danger to the person she parades around as the most important, while claiming to love Geumhee. Love? And yet you never show yourself as you are, put her in danger and give her no choice in it, no knowledge of it. To out yourself or not is a choice that can't be held against you, to confess or not is a choice that can't be held against you, it is so very personal and not to be touched by others, but guilt tripping a person after years of making sure they only see what you have as friendship, making sure they depend on you, after other people were the ones to tell them about your feelings? And all this after your sudden ''death'' turned disappearance which was then said to have been connected to drug smuggling and was even the cause of their arrest? As the constructed reality was starting to break apart and they start to realize they know nothing about the one person they thought of as a friend, as family, who they worked for and depended on? Thru all of this they are alone and confused, but still you are so grown into them that after finding out you are still somewhere around them makes them think about what will happen after, and realize rejection will mean never seeing you again. In such a stressful situation ofc that's too much to handle, are you high on those 'not drugs' you're smuggling?
From that let's go to those words Taeri loves to say 'you're straight you're straight' like, fr, how can you be so sure? And if you are sure, why then, put ultimatums of, either date me or let me go? What Geumhee wants most is family, more exactly it's the warmth of not being lonely which she mistakes as one and the same. Now here, in the world of content addicts, we all know family comes in many forms, but so many people, and Geumhee is one of them, believe in what society advertises, of family being something you can only ''truly'' gain by virtue of birthing, rearing or marriage. And so she wants it, but doesn't seem to actually be active in searching for it. When Taeri disappears and she is forced to think about a life without her, she seems to start on the path of understanding that family can be more than what society preaches. And in walks Yubora who Geumhee has no problem experiencing chemistry with and being swayed by, so clearly, not so clear cut straight is she?
To go back to Taeri's situation, had she told Geumhee what she was doing, Geumhee would've been better prepared for possible outcomes and consequences, but she kept her in the dark and so Geumhee is lost and confused which leads to her being easily swayed, framed and manipulated, as we see happen. And on top of that, we see Taeri even put a tracker on her, tho useful in the current situation, the act itself was done without consent and is damn creepy when tacked on Taeri's need to control Geumhee's life as much as she can manage.
Did this breakdown cause it's such an incredible story but Taeri's behavior, I can not forgive that kind of thing at fuck all. Saying all this Taeri is damn hot, hot as she is she's only good for flirting, like imagine dating her and being made into a fool and idiot, having your world flipped upside down and realizing everything you thought you knew was a lie and you might be facing prison and surprise, you are now the prime target for kidnapping!!!!! Like, no tnx. Might do Yubora in the future if I feel like it who knows.

As for that, being in love with someone doesn't equal celibacy and is not something to hold against a person. Relationships require devotion but they weren't in one. So while somewhat hypocritical considering Taeri's jealous, possessive and territorial behavior it's not wronging Geumhee.
