That's easier said than done. If you know your life was supposed to go a certain way then it got derailed, it's hard to be calm about it. Even in our daily lives where we don't know events like the MC does from the novel, humans ask themselves if it's their choice or if they're being forced by some higher being
She has every right to be confused and to wonder how far has she influenced this world She isn't doubting that her actions caused this, she is wondered HOW FAR has the ripples of her actions reached and what remains of the original plot
She can't stop being worried about the original plot because the current plot might converge to that or maybe it has completely diverged but some minor similarities remain that can end her life/save her life

She is confused because in original story "she" was the main villian. There was no Rebels. The Empress did the every bad thing that happened in palace. So if she is no longer villian, there should be no villian in the story. But there is this Rebel Group. They were never mentioned in the books. Who is the leader? Why there is this rebel group and why they are attacking her/palace...
She thought that if she is no longer the villian of the story she wouldn't die/imprisoned. She supposed to know the ending but now... She doesn't know if she will end up dead or not. She doesn't know this story anymore so she is confused and scared. Give her time to sort her thoughts.
