Honestly, this whole rape feels like it was particularly badly written. First of all, why did it happen? The revenge target this time is a crazy idiot, but I never got any kind of sense that he was a sexual predator type of crazy idiot. The first target liked to physically torture things, so he was physically tortured to death. The second target WAS a crazy sexual predator, so his method of death was also sexual in nature, and as sad as it was, his abuse of his poor girlfriend made sense with his part in the story. This new guy? He force-fed bleach to some kid and talks about how great he is. Why rape the girl? Why not carve "I'm the best" into her skin with his knife? That would feel more in line with the character we've seen so far. What's his punishment gonna be now? Are we just gonna get a repeat of the last revenge kill since he is now also a rapist?
Second of all, I know at least part of the reason why the author wrote this rape, and that's because he needed to disqualify Kaname as a potential love interest, and chose literally the shittiest way to do it. Maybe it's just me, but using rape as a plot device to say "this character can't love or be loved anymore" just feels like it was written in bad taste.

Wow king ur making so many good points.
I just thought the rape was JUST for shock factor but ur so righttt. The author is uses this event so MC would only feel guilt if he went out with that girl. Like only in a rare case would the MC have to push through the guilt to sincerely like that girl but we know that the author won’t push the story in that direction. :/// Mam that just pissed me off even more

What, annoying black-haired girl signs up for a full-on prostitution ring and doesn't get raped but blonde sweetheart gets raped outside with tons of other people also outside? Come on, author. Neither girl deserves to get raped, but choosing to include rape in a less likely situation really makes it feel like you're throwing sexual assault around all willy-nilly, like you're just using it as shock value at this point.

Although they are annoying. They still are a big part of the story. Showing how such a world filled with evil and darkness surrounds the MC, people like the 2 girls shows that they are the light of his world, and that the world he once was in is slowly fading away. Those characters are whats keeping the MC sane and kind. :))

I know they're going to end up together in the end (because that's the kind of stories this author writes) and I hate it. This is essentially just the BL version of "On the Emperor's Lap." Sorry, author, but even if I like them together visually and personality-wise, there actually is such a thing as "too much to forgive." You can't make your love interest do all the shitty things and also not be aware that you're yeeting my suspension of disbelief into the sun when an otherwise reasonable MC forgives them and loves them anyway. I mean, why??? If the plan is for them to be together in the end, why go out of your way to make one of them an objectively irredeemable asshat? I want to like Lion but it's almost like you're challenging yourself to make it so that I can't!

Lol, first it was Dojin and his "he's just so hot, I can't say no" attitude. Now we've got Taehwan and his "Oh yeah, I totally want to put my dick in this guy cuz he's just so gross and I hate him, yep, that's totally the reason I'm doing this" ridiculousness. Gotta love these guys and ways they try to justify enjoying gay sex to themselves.

I think some of you are worrying too much. Even if Yoshino does eventually decide to be with Kirishima, I severely doubt that she'll ever be a starry-eyed, head-over-heels, heart-goes-doki-doki shojo heroine over him. Just in this chapter, she realizes that he genuinely likes her and she doesn't feel touched or flattered, just surprised. If they do end up definitively together by the end of this story, I am certain she'll continue to not put up with his shit and be the dominant, deciding party in their relationship.

Right? I think ppl forget but in the beginning somewhere yoshino said if she did start to fall in love with him, she will want to kill him. Soooo that's why he's trying so hard to get her to hate/kill him but he's not doing it right lol. Our queen ain't gonna be an idiot in love. She gonna put him in his place
Sorry, but I don't like Leo or the demon right now. Forcing sexual contact on a girl makes him a good demon, but a shitty love interest. Demon boy will probably (hopefully) get better as the story goes on, but he's on my Nope list till then. As for Leo.... he probably won't get any better. Mostly I'm curious if him favoring the "heroine" is an indication that he was also cheating in their past life.
