Maybe it shows just how tired of cliches I am, but the amount of relief I felt when I realized there wasn't going to be a stupid misunderstanding subplot was intense. A lesser webtoon would have had Ricardis get jealous and sulky and he would have started avoiding Roselyn, and she would have been confused and hurt, and the whole thing would have been EXHAUSTING. It was very much appreciated that an ML who claims to like the FL also actually knows her well enough to immediately understand that whatever she's doing is for his sake.

Exactly!! It really sets this manhwa apart from other stories. And as much as I think that misunderstandings can be interesting SOMETIMES, it's usually just frustrating especially if not done well. It's just so nice to see Ricardis figuring out the truth instead of letting things evolve into the misunderstanding trope, which can also often be very unnecessary. It's a great way of showing how far his understanding and relationship with Roselyn has gotten, with him immediately understanding her reactions and what might be going through her mind.
You put it perfectly! His plans in retaliation of Hakab are equally as refreshing and much more entertaining than some annoying misunderstanding.
I'm sure it's mostly unintentional, but I find it hilarious how much this story digs at common manga tropes. Like implying that the concept of a beautiful kind MC who gets assualted all the time and has a harem that adores them for no definable reason is something only a weird self-insert fantasy-obsessed middle-schooler would come up with.

Out of the three shitty "love interests," I still have a tiny tiny bit of sympathy left for the priest. The plot of the novel never actually got to progress to the point where he betrayed the original Eris, so he is innocent of that at the very least. Plus, his mother clearly traumatized him deeply with her treatment of him and her death, and I'll always sympathize with children born into shitty situations out of their control. I wish he could have gotten some form of healing. But he made an unforgivable mistake when he tried to chain down an unwilling stranger with his trauma. He actively tried to ruin not-Eris's life and trap her in a world that made her suffer, just so he could feel better. So ultimately, he's getting what was coming to him. Karma's a bitch, I guess.
I do not feel the same sympathy but I do agree, I usually have sympathy for way worse characters like beyond criminal types if they have childhood trauma and nothing to loose but for some reason this priest just grossed me out.....maybe because he is a priest with Holly powers, the love of God and all the support to do what he wanted but he chosed to hurt another broke person so he could play hero

Same. I don’t like the priest nor approve of his actions but I do feel bad for the part where he did want to save the people he cared for. He wasn’t trying to kill anyone- but that obviously is not what the FL wanted which turned out bad for him
I also think the manhwa sorta rushed the development of all 3 guys falling for her? Was that how it was in the novel? Cause I heard other people say it’s like that to show how crazy the guys are, but I feel like it still would’ve been better if it was written in a way that showed the development of why the guys started liking her out of nowhere. It would’ve been more interest rather than just blaming it on simple craziness. Because at least the other 2 guys barely got any screen time and didn’t show up for several chapters only to show up at the very end crazy about her despite having no interactions. Especially the red head, I can’t even remember his last appearance (last I saw it was at the ball where FL and ML kissed) and it wouldn’t explain his sudden change in behavior.
I think ir worked really well cuz it is usually like this in the tipical romance story like the poor OGMC she was literally just being a good girl to survive (like how else the child of a falen traitor noble family survive? When even her job as a maid in the palace was given to her) and prince fell in love cuz she didn't recognize him and was pretty? (More like she was a submissive and powerless maid who couldn't be a treat like his fiance) priest like her cuz she had a pretty soul...again cuz she was nice?.....red hair cuz she was (again) a powerless girl ....all of them just wanted to be the hero and heal their wounds trough her.......so it was clear that when MC showed to be more miserable than OGMC and they had a part on it, they felt their "hero" play crumble, so they shifted attention....if MC acepted their help in any way soon they would feel better again cuz they "fixed a mistake" but she didn't and they know and had to see first hand the wounds they made on her destroy her completely
what MC did that OG Miserian didn't was simply not hide her pain....miserian died in silence while playing strong until the end...she had to, cuz that's how she was raised, that's the only left pride she had

I just came back from the author's twitter and it looks like they're also a fan of ENNEAD, which is pretty neat, I think. I really wish we could get someone to translate the Twitter extras. There's so many and I'd love to know exactly what's going on.
We keep hearing about how awesome and capable and intimidating Hyeon is but he keeps letting his brother get away with crazy petty bullshit. How does he not have countermeasures or stopgaps in place? Yiseon keeps getting put in danger or dragged through the mud, and all I can think about is how the older brother is not shown to be talented or dangerous enough to be causing so many problems and I can't figure out why he's still around.
I hope Hyeon is just pretending to be worried, or he has some plan installed. Wish someone could drop novel spoilers though
I'm curious to find out more about Mio's husband. From what we've seen so far (Chapter 24), it seems like he's also grieving? While we definitely haven't seen any evidence suggesting that he wasn't a terrible cheating piece of shit spouse, I'm starting to suspect that maybe he was a decent father at least? His wife refuses to accept the situation, his mother doesn't acknowledge the true tragedy of Taiga's passing, and the people around him keep pressuring him to be the strong one. There's still a possibility that he was an absentee father who only feels guilty now that his child is gone but I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt for now.
wdym? it was stated by their friends that they always fought cause he was continuously cheat. and we also got several scenes with him cheating. he might have cared for his son but he was not a family man.

Right? That's why I'm trying to find it. So many people in the comments are saying it's true and I need some proof, either so I can brace myself for the tragedy to come or so I can breathe easy knowing that a happy ending is still possible.
If several people say it then I don't have any hope left ... I defnitely read other stuff the author talked about a happy/sad ending, too. It is really not unheard of. Hell, I read a webtoon the author revealed so damn much ... I am not a fan of that approach. :/

I can't tell if it was a bad translation or just poor writing, but I literally had no idea that San was dead until this most recent chapter. Even though the all characters were constantly talking about how San would die because of the plan, there was very little reaction to his death and it felt very much like it was only Hwan's death. Plus, Geumsun literally said how relieved he was that it turned out his plan had no sacrifices, so what the hell? Guess he just doesn't consider San to be a sacrifice? Very confusing.

I'm calling it now. The brother is either dead or never existed, and the voice she speaks to all the time is either her brother's or her grandmother's spirit. It could also be her own powers or a spirit familiar or something, but regardless, I don't think she actually has a shut-in brother.
