Honestly, I can't get over how the 2nd season uke sold another student's paper and jeopardized their scholarship. I'm going to keep reading because I liked the first season. However, I don't think I'll ever truly enjoy the 2nd couple until there is some sort of genuine apology to that student. I'm never going to forget that
Yeahhh, but I can already predict that the dickhead sunbae is gonna be happy after some stuff happens with the seme this season, but then suffers because of the other student, who wants revenge. So like, his past dick actions catches up with him and he actually has to face it. And then apologizes to everyone he’s hurt(including main couple probably) or some shit and then happily ever after, blah blah.
But honestly, fucking deserved and I can’t see how they’re gonna make me actually root for this dude. Like, I think I’ll just be reading this season to see him be miserable and also the seme is like completely dumbfounding him, which is nice for someone as insufferably smug as him.
Ngl I also want a series where that student is the mc and it’s just a revenge story lol—

I just started reading and Bruce and his dad piss me off. It's understandable if you're uncomfortable with someone having fantasies of you, but Bruce went way too far. I hope that Bruce's heartlock fails again in public and he's exposed for his crimes.

It actually has a happy ending. The king never had any intentions to pursue a romantic or physical relationship with the princess. She has a strong resemblance to his late wife, so he wanted to use the marriage as a way to legally leave an inheritance. The princess falls in love with how devoted he is.
The love potion is actually more of a really intense aphrodisiac than an actual love potion. The princess wanted to have a baby with the king, but the king is hesitant to touch her. She then decides to drink the potion, but the king misunderstands and thought she was trying to end her life. He's like "If she's so miserable in this marriage, then I should die instead (he already has a great successor in line)." He drinks it and the princess gets pregnant.
Side note: ML is flabbergasted when he hears the news. No one expected it to turn out this way. MC realizes that there might be a good market for this kind of potion, so decides to stock up on some more. Lol

I would suggest it! The first volume is great. The second volume is also pretty good, but it definitely had the better ending! Lol If you can buy the official translation, I would recommend that too for the drawings!

Just as a disclaimer, while the reviews for the 2nd are mostly positive there are some who have issues with how one of the main external conflicts is resolved. I personally don't mind it since I thought it worked well in terms of their character developments

Reo showing up makes me want to simultaneously laugh and cry. He's so f-ing scary and a shitty character... But there are more than one funny moments that happen due to his appearance. However, I can only lightly the skimmed the flashback of how Kuzuya and Reo met. That definitely was more depressing than anything else
