Haebom and Taesung were literally raised together just as siblings were and the mom had legal custody over him. This is from a young age, meaning theyre very easily 100 times more like ACTUAL siblings who were really raised together than like Haesoo and Joowon— grown ass teens, nearly adults, well past a lot of their growth and development to suddenly see a random stranger their age as a “brother”.
The fact that one is a “dire” situation, and one is a marriage makes no difference cause at the end of the day Haesoo/Joowon didnt ask for their parents to get married. It was never their choice.

Taku caught feelings at some point but his first intentions weren't the best and big part of the relationship (before they were officially a couple) between him and Haesoo was a play. Even to the very end his feelings were selfish and he admitted to it himself.

He wished Haesoo a hard times, regret and more and less unhappiness in his relationship with Joowon meanwhile for example Joowon wished Haesoo happiness and promised he can always count on him even if they weren't together.
