The information you see in the first pages are made so that people reading omegaverse for the first time can have the basic idea of what it is, but it's not a set of rules. If you actually read the info in English, they say that it's all really up to the author what happens in the story.

What happens is that we have a wrong idea of what sexuality is, it is not something static, but something that flows, and the journey that it does is unique for each person. That's why there are gay men who can fall in love with a woman (it has happened, but very few) and straight men who fall in love with another man, in reality these people have not been 100% hetero or gay in their lives, but they themselves did not know it until the moment of falling in love.
If you don't know then you can't be 100% sure of what your sexual oriantation is , I remeber youtuber by name gigi georgous who said that her whole like she was and believed to be gay guy and never dated girl the she come oit as transgender then now she lesbain and married her girlfrined , some may say that she pansexual or went back to being heterosexual , but from what I see she just never know cuz she didn't experiance it , if she didn't transition she might have stayed gay and never tired it with girls , so the thing about changing your sexual oreinatation is not accurate cuz you can never know for sure what your sexual oreinantation is until you meet the right person for it .

this thread is so full of misinformation and as an lgbt person i feel like i have to rectify it. the rason why 'straight' men 'turn gay' but not so much the other way around is because of social expectations. men who are attracted to other men (gay or bi etc) suppress their feelings and don't realise them because society expects them to love women. it might seem unthinkable that they might be gay/bi because society doesn't see that as 'normal' and it's fucking terrifying to go against the norm when lgbt people aren't treated with basic respect a lot of the time. the reason why gay men don't 'turn straight' is because they've already gone through the process of self discovery, acceptance etc. basically, they've given this SO much thought and went through a big process to get there. in short, 'straight men' who 'turn gay' are not aware of their attraction to men, whereas gay men are aware of their attraction, are aware that they're not into women etc. it's belittling to think that after putting so much thought into your sexuality someone could say 'well just turn straight then'.
p.s. the 'straight' men in these stories are not even actually straight, bl just hates using the word bisexual unless it's to fetishize us and make us sex crazed demons who fuck anything that breathes or cheaters etc (not always, thankfully, but far too often!)
