He's short tempered because he had to become prickly & rough, in order to survive. His parents abandoned him because he was the runt of the liter (literally), & was always wrack & sick. So he became unfriendly & only loyal to the club owner that took him in. He's unfriendly to people because he's afraid that they will leave him, like his parents did.
