the jist of it is that hamura loves jin (obviously), alex (the new/intruder) also loves jin and jin loves..............
hamura!!!
many of you are probably confused. i would be too.
the jist of /this/ situation is basically that when jin came to america he was /not in a good place/ mentally and alex, who I guess taught the esl classes, became interested in him, which then escalated b/c I guess alex offered to help jin forget about hamura through sex and stuff. that was like how it was for jin during those three years and he probably became dependent on alex and the escapism he offered, thus why he didn't refuse him even after he and hamura had gotten together
as for hamura well...not being there when jin woke up was probably b/c he felt guilty as hell over his actions and was still super bothered by what alex told him at the okonomiyaki place...though it was still a dick move and really stupid of him
if only these two would actually talk shit out ( ̄∇ ̄") it probably wouldn't have gotten like this ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
Thank you for your explanation. Jin is too close to Alex and it feels like he still holds on to him and want to have it both ways (he's not cheating on him, according to what I saw but it feels like). And it makes him look bad. I know that he loves Hamura and that there are things that go unsaid between them.I'm looking forward to volume 4 to see how it ends.
I read the raw and- holy shit I'm going to die this manga is not good for my heart at all

Fuck the last lines of the chapter were
「あの時気づいていれば、あとで後悔することはなかったのに」
which roughly translates to:
"If I'd noticed at that time, later on I wouldn't have had any regrets."
that doesn't bode well for future chapters...
***translation might not be completely accurate I'm only a year three student...

hate to burst some of your bubbles (not really) but this manga is legit about a trans woman and her troubles with love - it's marketed by the magazine/publisher as such: https://twitter.com/sylph_amw/status/850305680573583360
「体は男。だけど、女として愛されたい――」。粉子すわる×森橋ビンゴが贈る、トランスジェンダーの苦悩と恋を描いた『この恋に未来はない』。
"[Her] body is a man's. But, [she] wants to love as a woman--". From KOKO Suwaru and MORIHASHI Bingo, a transgender tale of anguish and love, "This Love Has No Future."
shit it should be "[she] wants to /be/ loved as a woman" not "[she] wants to love as a woman"
....I guess they mean the same thing....or at least there's not that much of a difference...
Aah, I thought so! It really gave off that feeling as well
Oooh that's cool.
Then it would be inaccurate to label it as "shounen ai" then, wouldn't it?
well, its probs both. like, she probably wants to love and b loved back by the person she loves. (at least i would imagine so)
yes!!! this manga is serialized in a shoujo magazine and is about a trans woman's story, it's only got the label on sites like this bc the mc hasn't begun any sort of transition yet, which is honestly absolute bull given how it's very apparent she very much wants to...lmao ppl can be in denial all they want but facts are facts and it's a fact that she's trans
i agree. tbh part of the reason they tagged it as such is probably bc suwaru koko-sensei is famous for their bl and yaoi. i hope their r no misunderstandings
