Hmm i agree with a few points you made, however I personally believe that being kind has a lot more to do with being a empathetic and compassionate person rather than a emotional one. But yes, I also think that ignorance has a lot to do with being easily manipulated or deceived. Like, they do so because they honestly just dont know better. Saye believes and follows that woman the same way a 4 year old child follows a stranger offering them candy. But you see, thats exactly my issue with her. Being who she is and living where she does at her age, it's completly BEYOND me how exactly she survived until now, even if she kinda ghosted everyone for a while. Idk, its the way these type of stories always try to infantilize grown up girls that rubs me the wrong way, but I'm probably reading too much into it hahah anyway, there's no way someone can be THIS naive and gullible unless they're a child or have been living under a rock.
