His resemblance to Lucas from WMMAP is freaking uncanny:
1) they both have the same hair parting
2) they both have moles under their eyes
3) they're both fricking all powerful archmages with arrogant but hot personalities
Except, Arez takes on Claude's blonde hair and blue eyes. Or should I say....ATHY'S BLONDE HAIR AND BLUE EYES
I stg he's EXACTLY what the offspring of Lucas and athy would be like & I cant be the only one who noticed this ヽ(`Д´)ノ
The storyline also has similar aspects; transmigration, daddy beef, mages etc

I'm impressed some are dumbfounded in front such flagrant similarities.

I finished reading the novel a little while back nd lemme just say....
ITS SO FRICKING ADORABLE, THERES SO MUCH FLUFFINESS AND I WAS FLOATING IN A CLOUD OF PURE BLISS WHILE READING IT
I absolutely recommend it, it's simply too precious NOT to read. The novel is available on novelupdates.com, and is completed (≧∀≦)

Considerably major spoilers ahead, about why Emel is acting as he is, read at ur own risk...

One of the reasons as to why Emel 'works' for the princess, is to find out more about the curse that bounds the castiellos to the royal family. I think he's trying to find a way to free them from the curse.
I get how everyone is labelling him as a jerk for his insensitive actions, but there are loads of reasons as to why he's doing what he's doing. I get that there are other ways to achieve the same thing, without hurting Estelle or whatever but this is the only way he can see fit, to achieve everything without burdening anyone, especially Estelle.
During his time with the princess, he was abused, manipulated physically and mentally so he went through a lot, for the sake of the Castiellos. The reason he didn't want to tell Estelle is to because he knew she would beat herself up over it; the fact that Emel is sacrificing so much for her sake. We all know that our fl would not take that well since she cares for him. She'd be ridden with guilt.

Spoiler
Yeah, she and Emel do end up together. It's a bumpy road along the way but they do end up together.
Honestly, that's all I'm aware of so far, I can't say for sure that the ending will be all unicorns and rainbows, I mean from the way the story is going so far, I'm sure there will be....unhappy events? Idk how to put it in words. ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
I didn't write this spoiler btw, just shortened it. I get how u dont like the ml, neither do I but I just felt as if u shud kno that his reason is kinda justified?

Why hes acting the way he is:
has a demon contract forced upon him when young by a woman who wants revenge. He literally can't admit his feelings for the FL because the conditions of the contract is that in return for strength and power, when he has someone he loves from the bottom of his heart, he has to kill his beloved with his own hands as payment for receiving strength from the demon. ML didn't even think anything of this when he heard about the contract as a young boy, thinking that he wouldn't love anyone. But when he does develop feelings for FL, the demon started speaking to him and telling him to kill FL as payment, and his body started moving against his own will. He started denying his feelings to the demon, suppressing himself through self-harm and avoidance of FL etc. Still, he couldn't give up on his wish to stay with FL and searched for ways to be with her despite the contract. Then the birthday incident happened and he deeply regretted hurting FL with words he didn't actually mean. He gave up on his "selfish" hope of staying by FL side, pledging never to let the demon kill her. ALSO. The contract can't be mentioned to anyone else so he can't consult with anyone else. Of course, talking directly to FL is also a no-go since his desire to kill her amplifies in her presence (there's a separate reason as to why he can later on join FL as her guard)
Ignore the grammar in the first few lines, I wrote it for someone specifically so i forgot to adjust it ╥﹏╥
I actually don't like the fl( ̄∇ ̄")
Really? I don't particularly dislike or like her.. idk shes kinda boring imo ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
Idk just seems like a really RANDOM & very convient excuse to make the ML the typical cold , standoffish ML. Like I just can't get over how random the whole demon contract and its specific ass rules are?? Unless it actually falls into the storyline and isn't just used as a "why did you hate me " ..."baby it wasn't you it was the demon contract"
Even with the "justification" for his treatment of the fl, it's clear that they're meant to get together. And I'm sick of reading/watching love stories where the ml acts like an asshole (sometimes even borderline abusive or just straight up abusive) and then everything is magically made fine when they finally admit mutual love.
The contract might be an interesting thing in this story, but I personally don't want to watch god knows how many chapters of the fl being tortured, just to have all her hurt be erased by love.
