Personally I found it a real crappy read: the guy keeps raping the girl who, despite being a bodyguard, can't even defend herself against him or at least TRY and resist. She was even claiming at the beginning that she didn't want to do this and that with her brother's potential murderer, but her actions are completely contradictory. And despite all the harassment, she 'FaLls iN LoVe' with him. I mean come on. Don't get me started on the smut, the cover's probably the best part.

According to the novel, when the duke finds her, her memories do eventually come back: though it's a gradual process and once she got her memories back and remembered how they were killed in the past, she started bawling her eyes out in the duke's arms.
At first the duke was actually worried that the first thing she'd remember was how he attempted to kill her in their first meeting, but it didn't matter since they finally had each other.
Yes, the novel ended with her loving him as much as before, if not more than before.
