Whats up with the bad rating? I mean, the goal was to tell a story about psychologically twisted lovers. You cant appreciate this if u’re too moralistic when the idea is a DELIBERATELY NONCOVENTIONAL relationship. This is kinda like “the beast must die” tho that one is far more complex and thrilling

Kinda off topic but, while I was reading the novel, i couldnt help but admit that the more hightension exciting parts post divorce were Sovieshu and Naviers interactions. (Of course I adore the fluff between Navier and Heinley cuz know theyre steady but if imma be honest, i feel more of that SATISFYING “sting” or heart clenches when Sovieshu is in the narrative grovelling.)
So I thought, wont it be better if the author didnt just paint us a character that was only stupid and annoying IN ITSELF (that is Sovieshu) who was supposed to be a superb emperor who stands beside our Navier in terms of skills and intelligence in ruling a country.
Besides his IMMENSE STUPIDITY, It gives us the question of why would did he treat Navier so bad, if all he was after was an heir? He couldve planned alongside Navier so she didnt feel the need to be another country’s empress to fill the void in her identity when she is established as unable to produce an heir. Why’d he have to deliberately accuse Navier of hurtful things once Trashta came into view? Was it infatuation?
Then I thought it might have to do with the magical aspect of the setting of the story. There are mages who play around with love potions that is the Duke of Ript. What if Sovieshu was under a definite influence of magic love potion that made him loyal and sooo protective of Trashta when we all know that he has SOMEWHAT romantic feelings for Navier besides their friendship?
I just cant be satisfied with a simple “classic villain” who is evil just because, or just a miscalculation of his plans in focus of producing an heir. Sovieshu must have some good reason. If you try to reread this from the beginning, he had moments of lucidity from his hostility towards Navier. He would get jealous, even tried to please Navier or draw out the vulnerability of Navier’s pride. When we see their childhood, they were actually friends!
I am in no way defending Sovieshit, i am just merely saying, this would be EVEN better if we get a complex “villain” out of the cause of all these happenings.

I haven't read the novel, so I'll answer you with the information I have from webcomic.
I find your theory very interesting. It is actually very strange about the situation that has arisen. Certainly the basic problem is communication.
Navier became more staid as the future queen. Soveishu has remained childish and does not understand her change.I don't think there's any potion involved, or maybe at first(?) . I think it's all an inability to clarify the situation. But I also find it very strange how a man so in love or obsessed with Nivier acted in that way. Seriously I would like a whole chapter that would make me understand his psychology.

Can someone explain about the other love interest of seme? I kinda forgot cuz i just catched up

Do you mean the blond guy?
Well it seems that both the blond guy and Candy are originally called Yunjae. So when candy was young they were actually friends but separated after that accident. After that the seme forgot the face of the kid. Some time later he met the blond guy ( well as a kid he wasn’t blond) who was also called Yunjae and had a scar at his wrist. So he thought that he was the kid he met back than. Well they never talked about it so the misunderstanding never resolved.
Thinking that the blond guy was his childhood friend, he became interested in him and over the years I guess kinda fell for him...hope that helped

It's also quite possible that Candy himself doesn't know his own real name. Prologue/Chapter 00 shows a very smol Candy taken in by the Vulture org. So, I think he must have lost his mom after they moved (the day of the accident) and he was raised in the Vulture organization as a spy right from childhood.
He probably only knows bits and pieces of his childhood like the playground etc.

I do think that he knows his real name and some if the past. In one if the latest chapters that women asks him if he is Yunjae and that he felt sorry for his mother, he lies saying that she must habe mistaken him and then thinks that she has been around for a long time. And who knows he might even remember the accident but doesn’t know that it is the seme.
But you could be right too that he has a hard time remembering his past.
So ive caught up to the latest chapter and Heinley is about to be found out by Navier about his relation to the Eastern mages losing their mana. Navier was going to visit Wirwol (where the school for mages is, that’s technically the territory of the Eastern Empire) to talk with the Dean about her becoming a mage (because of the top secret magical bed possessed by Heinley’s kingdom, which potentially gives the person sleeping on said bed, some magical powers). Unfortunately, she meets Sovieshu there and he hints about whether Heinley has something to do with the mana decreasing in their empire. When Navier gets back, she assures Heinley that she does not believe that he could do such a thing. But the chapter ends with Navier overhearing Heinley giving orders about Evely’s necklace. (Evely is that young girl mages that Navier was sponsoring then).
This is not good, especially in Navier’s early stage of pregnancy. She is already losing weight. They might get into a fight but I hope not

Yes...
...with twins at that.
Oh dear

If she was pregnant what about the cookie?

So i mentioned the magic bed right? Heinley explained to Navier after their first night that aside from magic being transferred to people who sleep on it, the magic bed also helped the past kings and queens conceived regardless of health issues (even infertility). Hence, they made babies p r e t t y quickly lol
Wait what chapter Did you read that? Or where did you read it?
