WTF?!? Unlike many others, I’ve always loved the art work. However, in the newest chapter 45....Hugo looks horrible. His hair, eyebrows, smooth facial features YUCK. His hotness factor hit rock bottom. Everyone else looks the same. He now looks straight out of an old school comic book. How disappointing :(

The hair, eyebrows, mouth and all manly facial features....strong jaw, chin, etc. Go back to the previous chapters as a compare. The hair looks like he put gel in it and plastered it back. His wicked sexy good looks are gone. I’m hoping it gets fixed. I love the story so I’ll keep reading regardless, it’s just our super sexy manly male lead has been condensed to Clark Kent original comic book simplicity.

I feel you. I had to go back to the beginning to see his face there because I can't stand him being like in this chapter. The hair style can change from day to day, but what about the face???? (and what is that ridiculous body proportion????).
I have the felling that the artist was not in a normal state drawing this chapter.
Maybe the artist is working on other projects and got things confused or quarantine is wreaking havoc. I get that. I’m also going slowly insane. It’s just strange that only the ML changed so drastically. Guess we just have to wait until the next chapter.
I just found this and read all the chapters. I’m sorry if this has already been discussed. In chapter 5 page 33.......what are your thoughts on the strange angry glasses guy? It seems like he also may have been able to interact with the game’s characters at some point, but now can’t? I don’t want spoilers,( This is too much fun to be spoiled) just discussion, ideas, theories.
I think he made a route maybe? Either a good one or a bad one, and yeah I think he used to interact with them.
I like how subtly he was introduced. The author also made the point that lead characters, Endo and Kobayashi (sp?), could not access this special game separately. I wonder if angry glasses guy started his special game with someone else and that person left for some reason, but he hasn’t realized yet that he can’t play alone. I can’t wait for more chapters. This is definitely a unique story.

Hey, that could be it. He might be that negative black mist that eventually brought about the ancient witch. Maybe he can’t get back in because Endo and Koba stopped Lise from her negative angry thoughts and drove the shadows away.

or maybe he wants a route where he actually gets to be with lisolette. that's what i thought after that scene since it is a fact that whichever route he takes lisolette always ends up dying. Due to the changes in the plot his feelings might actually materialize and create a new character with the intentions of taking lisolette for himself. And it's a known fact that our male lead is kinda slow and lisolette actually misinterprets his kind gestures as mere dutiful acts. Ahhh it would've been a great plot twist if that was the case. Endo and kobayashi would be estranged by the unknown character. And alas they'd end up holing up pondering on who or why is that character there. Blooming love everywhere. that's all just speculation as a fellow writer. ( ꈍᴗꈍ)

I know there’s a lot to think about from these chapters. Suu is shown to be gifted in languages. Judging by his teacher, that would include the ancient languages. I’m thinking he may be the last person left who can speak speak the language of dragons and rituals.
Rina’s mom looked like a teenager. She doesn’t feed her, bathe her, brush her hair, clothe her properly or keep her safe. I’m so afraid when she takes her clothes off she’ll be covered in bruises. Stupid b*tch mom.
She doesn’t necessarily need to be a teenage she may just be someone who doesn’t care for her child like many do and F*** them all why give birth in the first place and treat your children like that
I may not have worded that right. I didn’t mean to disparage young moms, including teen moms. I know a couple of them who work hard and love their children. After Kinaho mentioned she looked young and wondered if there were students who looked like adults, I took another look and she didn’t look like an adult. I agree with you, no child deserves to be treated that way. And those sick monsters come in all ages.
Since the story went out of its way mention her mom looks very young to be mom, I assume that Rina was an unwanted accident baby that's why her mom doesn't care about her.
I really like this story, but I’m so sick of this arc!! Do we have to have the endless trudging around between umpteenth Hells and boring chit chat back and forth? Sigh, I’ll try to bear with it, just like the Bounts arc in Bleach.

Hahaha! That arc was horrible for all fans, but I’m glad I plowed thru it because the rest was worth it. We are re-watching the anime series right now and discussed skipping the Bounts. We decided to persevere because there’s too much important stuff (not one damned thing Bounts related) that pertains to the rest of the series.
One of these days I may give it another shot after i look up what episode is right before the arc starts and the episode that ends the arc o.e
