Isolate and manipulate are the mantra of abusers. They are all being emotionally abused and mc is also being physically abused. Since mc can’t be broken, her mind is clearly figuring out what’s happening and what role each member of that stupid family is playing. They NEED to have a family meeting between the four of them. Each one needs to tell the others what is happening to them. The icing on the cake will be mc explaining what’s she’s figured out and showing the scars on her legs. If they do this they can turn the tables, love and rely on each other and be so strong no one can break them.
Oh what a tainted web we weave, when we practice to deceive.
Lol, no problem. Our girl needs to think less about revenge and more about her new chance at a happy life. She’s right to be on guard, but she’s driving herself crazy. Now she’s second guessing her every move. Everything and everyone, even those not involved in her horrific past life, are making her paranoid. She needs to remember that the changes she’s made affect how others think of her. They’re not necessarily enemies anymore.
Oh shoot....I got the quote wrong by one word, but it’s a very important word. The actual quote is:
Oh what a tangled web we weave, when FIRST we practice to deceive.
By Sir Walter Scott
refers to how complicated life becomes when people start lying. It originally referred to a love triangle in the play "Marmion" by Walter Scott in 1808.
On the Veilstein family, anyone ever seen the movie, 3 Days of the Condor? It stars Robert Redford. It’s about a little known department of the CIA. The agents in this department have three exceptional talents, photographic memories, the ability to spot patterns, and fluent in world languages. While laughed at by other CIA departments, their job is to read every book, newspaper, pamphlets, ALL LITERATURE, from countries around the world. They read, document and report. One day....
It was raining, Robert Redford’s character, was going to pick up lunch for everyone in their small building. He went out the back door because of the rain, there was a shortcut in the alleyways. The assassins didn’t know he left. When he came back he found ????
I won’t give it away because it’s a great movie to watch during our quarantine, AKA house arrest. So I’ll only say, bad guys screwed up. Robert Redford was the agent who unknowingly read some otherwise unimportant literature, but it was VERY important. Things to know: these agents were trained exactly like all CIA agents, but never needed to use so much as a gun before. So Redford has the tools to survive. All CIA agents have a code name. Redford’s was Condor.
Sorry this is so long. It’s just I watched that movie years ago and the Veilstein’s are just like this CIA group. That’s why they are so important. Also, I thought y’all might enjoy the movie
No....though stuff goes down by the assassins at the very beginning, you won’t be subjected to brutality and gore. We see some people getting shot, but the overall result for the audience is us knowing what happened without us having to witness the totality. The rest of the movie is Redford trying to figure out what he read, who’s behind this and how the hell he can stay alive.
Unfortunately, he’s on his own. There’s a protocol agents follow should something like this happen. His training, he never had to use, kicks in. His only contact is a person on the other end of a phone who’s supposed to be guiding him to safety. BUT, is that person really an enemy? I like brotherhood bonding movies, too, but this one isn’t like that. I hope anyone who watches it, enjoys it as I did.
Thanks for the information.
When I got a time, I will try it.
If you like brotherhood bonding, reality show, mystery story, and okay with Korean, I want to suggest you watch:
The Great Escape season 1, 2, and 3.
It’s about escaping from a place in Big Scale production.
There are 6 members (guys), same people for all seasons.
Early episode on season 1 is not scary and not that mysterious. It is like some warm-up games.
But starting from middle of season 1 until the newest episode from season 3, most of the episodes are super mysterious and super scary. Because this tv shows use a lot of money to produce, the scale is almost as big as the money used to make movies.
And for each escapes, there are stories to unravel, some stories even have continuation from 1 season to another season. Imagine Conjuring movies having season 1-3.
For season 1 Watch here:

Tiara, ugh! It’s not the game, it’s you who’s bringing about self destruction. Her man falls in a fountain, another woman is wiping his face and she runs away, crying. The Fairy king, whom she knows has an interest in her, takes advantage and she serves him tea. No game could’ve done the damage she’s done. Thanks to her behavior and secretive nature, Aqua is doubting her love for him. Not to mention her actions that will cause chaos with the Forest Fairy kingdom.
Who’s left to comfort him? Asahira. She served her man to her on a silver platter. Don’t get me wrong. I still love my sweet Tiara, but she’d better get her **** together because right now she’s a train wreck.
A little bit of a rant. Note I have read the novel and I do like the story, and I kinda agree with you when it comes to her self confidence. But Aqua should remember that Tiara's been thrown away before. He doesn't know about the game, but he should probably realise that she's wary of other women when it comes to people she loves. She was basically cheated on then thrown away, game or not that fucking hurts my dude and all that self doubt and worry doesn't just go away when a nice new mans comes along, even if you know that they love you. It also doesn't help that she knows that this was a game and COULD lead to the same thing happening to her a second time. The way she's handling it is a little aggravating, and I definitely don't think she should run away when Aqua fell in the fountain then serve tea to the fairy King, but I also think Aqua should be a bit more proactive in the fact that he's already realised that Tiara is nervous about his relationship with Aishira, whether or not it's just work or something more.
Hold on! Though this chapter has a current date and says update, I’ve already read it quite a while ago. Anyone else? Could I have read it on another site? Strange.
This is definitely not a new chapter. All chapters run 56-58 pages. This one only has 11. After the children welcome her she has a talk with the new orphanage head about finances, missing children, etc. Also, in the previous chapter she discusses putting her visit to the orphanage in her report to the prince.
Yh and towards the end she literally bumps into the prince while hes diguised, she purposely tries talking to him tho he tries to run off, and cliffhanger was whether or not she knew it was the prince (which she hinted she did) and whetther she was going to basically tell him she knows or just pretend she doesnt. Sigh, i need a new update (〜 ̄△ ̄)〜

So sick of this arc. I just skimmed this one, said to myself “don’t know don’t care” and got out of it. I’ll continue doing this until this boring mess ends. If I missed something I’ll catch up in a future arc that hopefully can keep my attention for more than 4 pages.
