I see a lot of people complaining about misunderstanding...to be honest, this is far more realistic than stories where emperor and another guy fell in love openly. Yeon is not a concubine, he is a fighter and holds an official position in the empire, he is not the most intelligent but he tends to try his best. He loves the emperor and he is somewhat aware that the latter loves him too but does not vocalize it. For one simple reason. If he does say it out loud then it will create enemies and use these ppl to manipulate the emperor. They are both playing it safe but its creating disastrous results.

Been re-reading this for 586486 no.of times. Its just gold. Art style is freaking aesthetically pleasing to me as it makes it look like its water painting. Very cute.
For people who are complaining abt Hosik being a pushover, he's not. He easily refuses his friends but when it comes to this Sunbae he is weak.....he likes him, let that sink in.
In the flashback its made clear that they genuinely fell for each other and Hosik was scared to admit it to himself.
There is no manipulation, the Sunbae knew that Hosik liked him but I do not like how he molested him in his sleep. That was quite unnecessary.

Now this is more like an actual movie script rather than a simple BL webtoon. The characters are fleshed out to the minutest details, none of the characters are morally pure. They all have their flaws and strength, they all make mistakes and fumble while recovering from it, the pacing is oddly realistic like I can see a real life couple going through this for real. I loved the fact that seme was not just depicted as a jerk but as someone who was simply strongheaded who was....perhaps the best partner for the uke. He guided him and did not toy with either his own emotions or that of others. The uke was a fighter, like he wasn't just a frail man dealing with a debilitating issue, but he was genuinely trying to traverse through it all while also struggling with crippling depression.
The breakup scenes were heart wrenchingly realistic, the confusion, the hurt and most importantly the guilt associated with it.
The 2nd ml...i got to give it to him, he was a committed lover, but who can blame him from wanting to move on from a trauma? He is a wonderful lover but also someone willing to learn and support.
Looking at these two i feel so ugly, single and broke.
Same! Let us single folk rejoice by watching their smut together...
