I totally agree! He let his past swallow up his entire life. He never let go of what happened, and that's what ended up being his downfall. But I think a lot of what has happened does in fact have to do with Rosamund too. She's very manipulative, and add a fragile person into the mix, and you get something very bad. I just hope that the ML's mentality gets better. He doesn't love himself and doesn't think anyone can love him, and that's why he grasps at the "love" being given to him by Rosamund.
