Just because you’re a parent doesn’t mean you can’t be depressed. Mental health problems suck, and a lot of people can’t force themselves to be ok despite having responsibilities. I’m proud of the seme for protecting and supporting him.

Im not 100% sure but based on the spoilers that i have read but there maybe 2 reasons
1. Emperor got a hold on daddy. The has a power tool (ring) that can manipulate daddy So he is distancing himself to protec his baby girl
2. Apparently something happend in the past that made fl sick/faint whenever father goes near her so again he distanced himself to protecc her
Honestly i just feel so bad for daddy dearest.in all lifetimes he was just tryna protect his daughter but the misunderstandings killed their relationship. huhuhuhu
SPOILER!! im currently reading the novel and the emperor has something that hold the duke's neck and he knows that shes his weakness so he needs to distance himself to her or she'll be dead. I got this from a spoiler but Daddy was actually pretty hesistant on reaching out to her because she apparently has altered memories from a potion that she drank when her mom passed away and when he tries talk or spend time with her she get panic attacks when she was young. That's also why he said previously "not again" when she collapsed at their shopping.
