As for the their relationship when older and Tsubaki has grown up, they will be together. The author has drawn images of them as adults.
However this manga isn't even finished, and I feel it won't be, i imagine it's simply a story of their friendship and relationship as children and about growing up together. I dont see how people are getting mad at content that isn't even present in this manga.
