Yeah, dragon guy and the MC feel like they are closer maturity-wise then the MC and whoever this new guy is. He's obviously an adult and has been an adult for a while if the flashbacks are anything to go by. Not to mention the whole "I will serve you forever and give my life to protect you" isn't exactly a great relationship dynamic.
